Duncan Hunter touched on the danger of this type of globalism during his presidential campaign. He even listed a couple of nations that used our reliance on them for parts as a means of leverage.
What some are calling protectionism, I call self preservationism.
And that is why it is a false choice of “free trade” v “protectionism”.
The real choice is Patriotism vs Elitism and Oligarchy.
