Orca Pulls SeaWorld Trainer To Her Death 'Grabbed ... and started thrashing,' witness says; 2 earlier deaths cited
ORLANDO - A SeaWorld trainer was killed Wednesday when an orca pulled her into the water as she was talking to visitors.
Orange County Fire Rescue spokesman John Mulhall said paramedics were called to the Shamu Stadium at the theme park resort where they found a worker who could not be revived.
WKMG-TV reported that a witness, Victoria Biniak, said she saw the incident from a viewing area where the orca, or killer whale, is housed.
"The trainer was explaining different things about the whale ... and then the trainer that was down there walked away from the window ... and then Telly (the whale) took off really fast in the tank and he came back, shot up in the air, grabbed the trainer by the waist and started thrashing (her) around," Biniak said.
The theme park was closed shortly after the incident.

I thought it interesting that the SAME whale killed twice before ... a trainer, and someone who broke in. The person who broke in had been dragged around the bottom of the tank and was found naked on the back of the whale.
Free willy
Would ‘killer’ be the clue?
Telly.
We need to stop using whales in entertainment shows.
There’s a reason they don’t call them cuddly sea puppies.
Free Tilli—— oh no wait. Look if you work with wild animals you run the risk of dying or being badly maimed
Time to turn this whale over to the Japanese....
they can even kill great whites
Sushi anyone?
Thank goodness the whale doesn’t have access to guns.
Hence the name KILLER WHALE, along with Polar Bears, Leopards, Tigers, Leopard Seals and Lions, animals that consider man their natural prey.
He wasn’t looking for people with good taste ...

My condolences to the family of the victim, of course. It's really not a laughing matter.
The SUVs of the Whale World...
So, those who want to put all pit bulls to death want to defend the orca, or not?
It is a wild animal, not a domesticated animal. It is just doing what it does. Same as the sting ray that killed Steve Irwin. Or the woman whose face was ripped off by the chimpanze [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3DeJjHAz8I]. When you play with wild animals, you have to assume some risk of injury or even death.
How many circus elephants have killed people? But they still have elephants in the circus. How many sharks have killed or maimed surfers? But we still have people surfing.
It’s all about willingness to accept the risks. And I’ll bet that 100% of the people who accepted the risk have never received welfare payments.
Risk takers don’t do welfare payments.
I guess that some days they just get an irresistible urge to KILL something.
