Stolid, reliably conservative, Sweet Home Alabama is currently among the sanest of the states.
Last poll I saw said that it was the most conservative state in the union. Our state rep recently died. He was a dim. We just voted in a new rep and we got a republican conservative in office now in his place. One by one we are making changes.
