Obama says, “No federal abortion funding in new healthcare bill” but…
The Collins Report ^ | February 24, 2010 | Kevin “Coach” Collins

Posted on 02/24/2010 6:04:38 AM PST by jmaroneps37

Regardless of anything Barack Obama has said there will be federal funding for abortions in his new healthcare scheme and this is one of the major problems Americans have with it.

An analysis of the new healthcare bill, posted by the White House, indicates Obama has no intension of cutting federal funding for abortions in this latest “new” version of healthcare.

The new plan will provide $11 billion to expand Community Health Centers that will certainly do abortions. Apparently Obama and his Party believe Americans especially Pro Lifers are fools.

The projected price tag for aborting millions of American babies has actually been increased by $2.5 billion with funding not only for staffing but for the construction of new “Centers” as well.

The hopes of many Pro Lifers that the Stupak-Pitts amendment would keep federally funded abortions out of Obama’s scheme have proved groundless because there is no mention of it in the new text. Clearly, if this new bill passes and becomes law we will be paying for the slaughter of innocent babies under the guise of “better health.”

America is growing more, not less Pro Life

The more Barack Obama pushes socialized healthcare plans on America, the more his popularity falls. Rasmussen tells us just 41% of voters favor socialized healthcare and 56% are against it. Fully 45% “strongly oppose” the plan.

The Left would never admit this but there is strong evidence to suggest that there is a correlation between the recent dramatic shift in public attitudes against abortion and the growing resistance to a healthcare scheme that will include tax payer funded abortions. For the first time in many years the number of Americans who want abortion legal in “every case” is below 50% at 47% which has dropped from 54% in just the past year.

Abortion will ultimately be the death of this scheme because the Far Left will never accept a bill without government funded abortions and the rest of us won't accept it WITH abortions funded with tax money.

Excuse me, but why should anyone pay for another woman's abortion? It's an elective surgery. Does that mean we should also pay for Pelosis face lifts?? All those breast implants? Liposuction?

Abortion is already in the Medicaid and CHIP CFR with restrictive language....the typical two-pronged incest/life-of-the-mother allowance.

This is nothing but a kick back to Planned Parenthood. They've donated millions to get democrats elected.
It's just more corrupt politics. This administration has got to be the dirtiest administration this country has ever had to suffer through.

Funny thing about abortion and the Democrats who support it.

The women think it’s a fight for their rights., when in reality the Democrats know it is cheaper to pay for killing a baby than it is to pay welfare to raise it.

It is Genocide of the highest order and the Liberals have convinced the poor and the blacks that they are doing them a favor.

Galatians 6:7-8

7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Standing on the Promises of God’s Word, even as we cry, “How long, O Lord, before we see Your enemies cast down?”

“Excuse me, but why should anyone pay for another woman’s abortion? It’s an elective surgery.”

Actually, in a lot of cases, when the baby has grown over a certain limit, they pretend it’s “for the health of the mother”.

There are many Americans who don’t wish to see Roe V Wade overturned but do not care to pay for others to have sex. That’s essentially what forcing people to pay for abortions is, paying for two people to have sex and not have a consequence from it. Even if they don’t see it as “murder”, they will see it as an elective operation and isn’t really different than being forced to pay for your neighbor’s boob implants.

It's like paying for your neighbors birth control. It's bad enough we're already paying for their rent, food, clothing, education, entertainment, cars, TV's , microwaves, computers, internet access, hair dressers........

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:

http://economicspolitics.blogspot.com/2009/05/tricare-for-life-is-obama-trying-to.html

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollee’s cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.)

Congress plans to block Tricare fee increases
http://www.armytimes.com/news/2009/10/military_tricarefees_blocked_100709w

By Rick Maze - Staff writer, Oct 7, 2009

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.

Snip

The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Snip

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.

“President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees” in fiscal 2010, Matz said. “We took them at their word, and I can’t believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward,” he added.

Bambi doesn't keep his promises...so buyer beware.

Why isn’t abortion paid for as an elective procedure (and non-coverable), in the same way that cosmetic procedures are? It’s a sensible way to not make the rest of us pay for the elective procedures of others.
