(1) electronically sign citizens' petitions for Impeachment of Pres. Barack Hussein Obama II (there are now many)
(2) become aware and support however you can the effort of Dr. Manning and American Grand Jury to finish the proceeding they began a year ago (May 9, 2009) that will culminate in the CIA Obama Columbia Cover Up Treason Trial in NYC on May 14-19, 2010 (for more go to the American Grand Jury website at http://americangrandjury.org/american-grand-jury-hands-down-indictment-of-fraud-and-treason-against-obama)
(3) support your state's efforts to re-enforce their own sovereignty which trumps Federal authority; this relates to whose decision holds sway (Fed gov or states) with regard to the constitutionality of enforcement of laws passed by the U.S. Congress; The States rights trump the authority of the Fed gov as per the 10th ammendment of the U.S. Constitution. As far as I know in 2009-2010 36 states followed suit with Alaska to pass their own legislation renewing their right to sovereignty for trade and within their own borders.
(4) If the Fed gov refuses to recognize the meaning of the language in the 10th Ammendment (that states rights trump Fed gov authority) the states can invoke the interpretation of this ammendment that U.S. Constitution framers, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, left us as a legacy of last resort against a tyrannical government which are the Kentucky of 1798, Kentucky Resolution of 1799, and the Virginia Resolution of 1799. These three resolutions were written by Jefferson and Madison and they were passed as statutes in the respective commonwealths' (KY, VA) state assemblies in the years noted while Jefferson and Madison were both still alive. There is documentation that Jefferson and Madison did, in fact, author these three resolutions. The Resolutions were initially written in secret by Vice President Thomas Jefferson and James Madison while Gen. George Washington was President.
I have all the respect in the world for Admiral Denton. Ping for later...
The link for Kentucky Resolutions of 1798 & 1799 framed by Vice President (under Pres. Washington) Thomas Jefferson and the Virginia Resolution of 1799 framed by (then) citizen James Madison that are in favor of states’ rights and Strict Constructionism is as follows:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kentucky_and_Virginia_Resolutions
"That this Assembly doth explicitly and peremptorily declare, that it views the powers of the Federal Government as resulting from the compact to which the States are parties, as limited by the plain sense and intention of the instrument constituting that compactas no further valid than they are authorized by the grants enumerated in that compact; and that in case of a deliberate, palpable, and dangerous exercise of other powers, not granted by the said compact, the States who are parties thereto have the right and are in duty bound to interpose for arresting the progress of the evil, and for maintaining within their respective limits the authorities, rights, and liberties appertaining to them.
Only the states and the people can reverse our otherwise inevitable slide into tyranny.
THANK YOU
“Only the states and the people can reverse our otherwise inevitable slide into tyranny.”
Sad, but true. Boy, am I glad that our Founding Fathers were blessed with such extended enlightenment and sense of caution.
Can you answer this question?
The source I cited earlier (wikipedia) also said this:
“The resolutions were submitted to the other states for approval but with no success.”
Will only Kentucky and Virginia be protected by the kentucky resolutions of 1798 & 1799 and the Virginia resolution of 1799, respectively?
What about the other states? Do they only have the 10th Ammendment to the Federal Constitution to protect their states’ rights?
The word on the street is that the armed uprising is what the progressives want so they can declare martial law and suspend our rights under the U.S. Consititution. Supposedly, the tenets of Obamacare are so horrible (uber-socalistic and oppressive) in order to incite the armed insurrection/uprising they desire to occur.
What say you?
They don't want it to 'work'. What it does, is give them power and people of their type power forever. Why do Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, both members of AARP, want to centralize so much power in the Federal Government, when they aren't going to be around to wield it? It's so the 'right kind' of people can wield it against the hated ordinary Americano (see racist, nazi, moron, teabagging astroturfer).
They hate freedom. They hate it that people make their own decisions, because then they don't make the right decisions.
I agree. This is PURPOSEFUL. If they prevail much longer, things will be very uncomfortable for most.
“I don’t believe there’s a way to get rid of the clowns, other than an armed uprising.”
I think that’s exactly what the “Powers that Be” are pushing us to. They know about the Ky and Va resolutions. If the various states try to assert themselves then lookout! There are plenty of silly videos out there about foreign troops on US soil, masses of military equipment where there wasn’t any yesterday. I’m not saying I’m buying into the conspiracy theories but you can bet the federal government is ready to quell any uprising! And I think they are expecting it.
“I agree. This is PURPOSEFUL. If they prevail much longer, things will be very uncomfortable for most.”
By the year 2017, Healthcare expenditures are projected to be 1/5 of GDP. ObamaCare is a powergrab over another chunk of our economy.
Additionally, it abridges a whole SLEW of personal rights.
All of the above is fine. Impeachment, etc. I would advize picking the most winnable fights possible for our case. For example, the Kelo ruling. That’s a winnable argument. Gun rights. Very winnable, and easy to inform voters of how gun rights make communities safer. Many states have done that to good effect.
Impeachment of Obama is not winnable because the rats will never go along with it. That will lead to frustration. But the effort is noble.
State sovereignty is a tough fight.
Picking the most winnable fight helps you gain territory with the least effective resistance. If they dare to block your path, they pay a heavy price. [MacArthur: “Hit’em where they ‘aint.]
I personally think the best solution is to place effort into educating and entertaining our fellow citizens with lively, shocking, and humorous teasers that lure them to a deeper understanding of the truth. Once voters are informed and roused, every hope is possible. So long as voters are misinformed and confused, all fears are possible.
Sometimes we should rant. Sometimes use satire. Sometimes simply inform. Mostly combinations of the three.
Next I will speak on behalf of WND itself.
Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., challenged the audience to work at their dinner tables and water coolers to convert liberals one at a time into “Pat Buchanan, WorldNetDaily-reading conservative[s].”

Poll — 58% of Republicans question Obama’s Constitutional Qualification
http://www.politico.com/blogs/glennthrush/0709/58_of_GOP_not_suredont_beleive_Obama_born_in_US.html
[I agree that a KOS poll isn’t the most accurate, but it’s the only one I know of reg. republican %.]
WND has embraced certifigate. Not only that, they embrace life. Those two often intermingle, while foes of life and certifigate also intermingle. That is not simply coincidence.
WND is an example of anti-establishment, pro-religion, pro-life, pro-freedom.
Anti-establishment people have always been the strategic allies of conservatism. They mistrust big government. They embrace freedom: the right to free speech, the right to bear arms. If anti-establishment muckrakers don’t belong with conservatives any more, many will find other places to belong, like militia groups. Shutting them out would be foolish.
Long live WorldNetDaily, a bridge between conservatism and a healthy dose of suspicion about big government. I remember the early days of this forum. Militia groups tried to infiltrate us and take us over. We countered that we could take on big government through free speech and political activism. I’m speaking from at least some experience on this. Places like WND give us a place to belong.
Back in the 90s, I believe we re-channeled negative energy into positive use. Anti-establishment people need to be finessed, not battered with a sledge hammer. WND does that.
Our greatest danger is disunion.

Your view has merit. Obama wants to make us look like dangerous fanatics. Then his war on terror can reshift its aim at us. It was the same during the Clinton years.
“...you can bet the federal government is ready to quell any uprising! And I think they are expecting it.”
I “get” that.
However, here’s the reality. I’ve not met a single IN, OH, WV, TN, MO, or Il boy who’s willing to fire on citizens of the neighboring state of KY. Additionally, no KY boy I’ve met would be willing to fire on citizens from states that border on KY either.
So...who are these “outside” soldiers going to be?
UN peacekeepers?
Mercenaries?
Liberal leftist (a.k.a. pantywaiste) volunteers?
No matter the answer, the boys of KY WILL take care of their own. That’s a promise. Hell, most of them train for such a thing practically every darn weekend as it is!
So, exactly HOW is this REALLY going to play out?
Will the Feds threaten a region within the U.S. with a nuclear detonation to get the populace to comply?
How WILL the Feds get ALL OF US to go along?
Thank you.
What about this for a grass roots idea.
ALL of us simply file no tax returns and no checks for the government to cash.
Thay can’t put us all in jail, there’s no room and the social unrest this would cause while being peacefully wrought would send a “Stop spending our way to HELL” message that those in the House who still have a backbone would FINALLY receive.
