A former Queens man yesterday confessed that he was trained by al Qaeda -- and that he had plotted to blow up the city's subway system around the anniversary of 9/11 last year.

Najibullah Zazi, 25, told a Brooklyn federal court judge how he had driven to New York City from Denver, where he lived, on Sept. 10, 2009, with a detonator in his bag and bomb-making plans on his laptop to launch a "martyrdom" massacre at the behest of al Qaeda operatives.

"It meant that I would sacrifice myself to bring attention to what the US military was doing to civilians in Afghanistan," the Afghan native said. "I would sacrifice my soul for the sake of saving others."

He kept saying “we” were going to use bombs in the NYC subway”...multiple locations, and more terrorists involved, including his pal, the Queens imam who tipped him that the feds were on his tail. Hopefully, the feds are after the others, and why can’t we clap the imam in jail? Obstruction of justice, etc.. Of course, if we had sense, they’d all be facing a military tribunal. We are at war. Actually, that warmonger Zero’s fighting three of them.

and to think, Eric Holder’s fed got Zazi to talk by threatening to arrest his mother for immigration violations.....so glad we did not use something cruel and degrading like 30 seconds of simulated drowning

Zazi reportedly mentioned the existence of two other conspirators to authorities but would not identify them.

How can Holder brag about the handling of this case knowing that this animal had collaborators but won’t say who they are?

Sounds like a ready-made case for enhanced interrogation to me.

A little different than the 1959 French novel Zazie dans le métro written by Raymond Queneau.

“threatening to arrest his mother for immigration violations."

The mother should be returned to Pakistan, first class air, nice hotel...and everyone told how junior did all he could to help her out!

One of the people familiar with the Zazi case told the Associated Press that Zazi decided to offer the information after being warned that his mother could face criminal immigration charges.

Zazi’s father was charged earlier this month with trying to get rid of chemicals and other evidence. But it appears he was cut a break: After initially demanding that he be jailed in Brooklyn without bail, prosecutors agreed to a deal on Feb. 17 releasing him on $50,000 bond and allowing him to return to his home in suburban Denver.”
