Tulsa - Republican Vice Presidential Candidate and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is coming to Tulsa next month March 13.
Palin plans to join conservative talk radio and television host Glenn Beck during the Taking Our Country Back Tour, which kicks off March 13th at the Tulsa Convention Center.
The Tulsa stop also features concerts from country music artists John Rich of Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson. Also appearing will be best-selling author and former advisor to President Bill Clinton, Dick Morris. 8 Talkback:
"The Taking Our Country Back Tour is a unifying event for anyone who feels the government is taking this country in directions the Constitution and the Founding Fathers never intended," promoter Tony Holden said last month.About half of the 6,500 seats have already been sold, said Tony Holden, the event's organizer.
***National television networks have expressed interest in airing Palin's speech, which will begin at about 1:30 p.m. The concert begins at noon and Beck's speech will be about 30 minutes into the program, Holden said.*****
The tour is not officially part of the "Tea Party" movement, but supports and endorses the people involved in that organization. The concert March 13 will feature discussion of family values and the national deficit, among other topics, he said.
"Our biggest message to the U.S. government is please, please stop spending our money," he said.
All the proceeds from the concert will go to a yet-to-be determined veterans' organization. Palin and Beck will be having one-on-one session with a few select people that offer charitable donations to the cause, Holden said.
The concert space will have large video screens to broadcast the show, and Palin may spend some of her time answering questions from the audience, he said.
This is a chance for Tulsa to rally," he said. "And I've never been prouder of something in my life."

Yeah, I like it.
Heh! More like, "Hi, Mom!" or Hi, Trig!"
“Heh! More like, “Hi, Mom!” or Hi, Trig!””
Well there is that mom and child thing. heh heh Seriously, I’d love to see either or both of those words written on her hand. Guess it’d be too un-p.c. of her to write, “this slap’s for you, Obama”.
Gov, your tagline has a relation to mine.....
Thanks for that...
I heard that she didn’t want to attend CPAC because of the John Birch Society’s involvement in this year.
Now imagine her trying to do all of this while she's a sitting governor.
Now imagine the ethics complaints they would have filed if she tried doing all of this while she was a sitting governor.
And finally, wouldn't those ethics complaints have been correct, if she tried doing all of this as a sitting governor?
Anybody?
She’s crazy like a fox.
LOL! Yah, too bad, huh? Well, she'll think of something. She's too sharp not to use the opportunity for at least one good dig.
