Rush Limbaugh today opened up on Scott Brown for his deviation from the party line and on Mitt Romney for the former Governor's endorsement of John McCain.
Limbaugh attacked Romney at some length, returning to the subject through his show. One riff:
I like Mitt Romney, but I think he's risking his career over a guy, endorsing McCain, who is so out of step with what's going on right now. McCain's always conservative when he's running for reelection in Arizona. The tea parties have produced a wave of conservatism that have swept Republicans-in-name-only aside. I understand Palin endorsing McCain. She's got no choice. Loyalty, plus if she doesn't the media will cream her, "Oh, he's good enough to be president but you won't endorse him to be Senator?" And it's understandable Romney would endorse Brown, but I don't understand Romney endorsing McCain. I just don't think it's going to fly. These endorsements are unnecessary. What is there to gain by this? Look, it's unfortunate, but people are weeding themselves out of the process all the while engaging in this kind of behavior. So in one sense it has a cleansing aspect to it.

According to many people who bashed me for questioning Scott Brown after his election, people like Brown are the future of the GOP, and how the GOP can win back the presidency.
When did FR become a RINO site?
Hasn’t Palin endorsed McCain?
I do and it's simple.
FLIP SLICK WILLARD RINO ROMNEY IS A CON ARTIST and despicable human being from a family of con artists and cowards.
He still thinks he can fool enough of the people enough of the time.
WRONG
Rush: “I like Mitt Romney...”
3...2...1...
According to Rush, she pretty much has to do it, and I somewhat agree. If she campaigns for Hayworth, then the media jumps all over her. “McCain was the right candidate for President, but now you won’t endorse him to be a senator from Arizona?”
I think she should have sat this one out though and endorse whoever the GOP candidate is in the general.
lol
what are you talking about?
RUSH was drubbing McCain for a year or two, almost every commercial he had during 08 ragged on McCain.
Hear that, Bill Bennett?
that was 04
Yeah, well she might or might not...she’s a gal with a mind of her own...I guess you either like that or don’t. Can’t think of any group I would want to belong to that I agreed with 100%. But there was a conservative fella in CA who once said you shouldn’t speak ill of a Republican...he might have been right some of the time and wrong once in a while...I dunno. Maybe Brown was a genius and knew the votes were there anyway (he wasn’t #60) so he scored some cheap points back home to do God’s work in the future. Reagan did it. All the good ones have. Maybe it’s good, but it seems dangerous.
I couldn’t agree with you more.
No, it’s simply the truth that Scott Brown is the best the GOP could possibly do in Massachussetts. Show me another elected Senator that’s as conservative as Brown.
43 years ago when Leverett Saltonstall left office in 1967.
The fawning over Scott Brown was embarrassing. Yes, we wanted him to win, but people were calling out Palin/Brown 2012 or some such crap at nauseating frequency.
McCain list of endorsements.
Sarah Palin
Fred Thompson
Scott Brown
Bob McDonnell
Mitt Romney
AZ Congressional Delegation
Dick Armey of Freedom Works
Who’s next? Bobby Jindal? Mike Pence? Michelle Bachmann?

Backstabber Romney-care: "I support you because you backed me up
by having both our staff attack Gov. Palin and her children."
Armey backtracked and claims he did not endorse Mccain
Agreed—Brown is a rino through and through, as bad or worse than McCain and Romney. Those who thought Brown was the salvation of the USA from the communist policies of Obama forgot that Brown is no conservative - - he is a political animal and opportunist from extreme liberal Mass. Anywhere else in the country the GOP would not have him. Brown is about: how can I sell my vote to Obama, for how much.
Newt Gingrich. Then you’ll know it’s the kiss of death.
Amen!
