(CNN) - Mitt Romney endorsed Sen. John McCain, one of the former Massachussetts governor's main competitors for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination, for re-election to the U.S. Senate on Tuesday.
"Senator McCain's record of service and sacrifice for America is honored by all," Romney said in a statement. "But I believe that it is his core values of courage, faith and honor forged in battle and confirmed by a lifetime of service to America that make Senator McCain's leadership in the United States Senate so necessary in these perilous times."
Romney said it is "hard to imagine the United States Senate without John McCain."

Oh! I'm very much in favor of JD Hayworth! But I also see that it would be very hard for Sarah Palin not to endorse McCain. She would not have the voice she has today if McCain had not picked her. Remember he picked her to balance his ticket and pick up the conservative base. Sorry, I don't agree at all. She could have just smiled real sweetly and kept her mouth shut. You don't endorse people unless you support their policies. At least not in MY world.
McCain picked her for many reasons, one of which was that she'd back up his globalist policies (like she is now in supporting him). And Romney's a globalist too. They all are. It seems we don't have much choice, do we? In the end, whoever it is, I'll vote for the anti-Obama.
Just don't ask me to get excited about any of them...because I AIN'T.
Except for JD, that is.
GO HAYWORTH!!

Romney said it is "hard to imagine the United States Senate without John McCain."Only if you're an inside the belt way RINO. The rest of us can picture it just fine, and it's a very pleasant sight.

Does McCain have pictures of Romney? This must really worry JD. Probably a game changer./sarc
I was going to vote for Romney because he was last man standing by the time of my primary - Fred and the others had bailed and then he dropped at CPAC.

Romney doesn't appeal to Conservatives, especially those at FR. Also Hayworth has the endorsements of Sheriff Joe Arpaio, and minuteman founder Chris Simcox.

Old Mac's got THE POWER. Even Sen. DeMint who seems to be willing to go out on a limb for most conservatives won't cross that line when it comes to McCain. DeMint is staying out of this race he said.... which is, in effect, a plus for McCain and akin to an endorsement.
This only convinces me of the need for TERM LIMITS.

Man50d I was being sarcastic. Does McCain think this establishment type endorsement is going to impress activists in AZ?
I'm all for JD. This is the beauty of his campaign - all the RINOS will be flushed out by their trips to AZ to pay homage to the chief of RINOS.

Even when Romney joins up with Sarah Palin, Romney’s still wrong.
