Not in Arizona. This would have sunk all of his chances. The Arizona People’s Republic would eat him alive. They already hate his guts. He just screwed them all over.

Are you sure about that? I thought Arizona had a good chance to put a law on the books requiring documentation before a candidate could be placed on the ballot. If so, it seems like that state might actually have people who care about the rule of law.

I agree with you completely here. The Arizona Republic would have painted J.D. as a crazy birther and McCain would of ran with it. This takes away an attack from McCain and allows J.D. to focus on what he can do for Arizona since McCain has proven he doesn't care about Arizona nor the republican party.
