Meet kinder, gentler Glenn Beck: New 'global warming' believer
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | February 22, 2010

While polls show more people drifting away from acceptance of "global warming," the newest superstar among conservatives – Glenn Beck – is embracing it.

"You'd be an idiot not to notice the temperature change," he says. He also thinks it could be caused by man's activity.

At home, he's going green by using energy-saving products.

"I'm willing to do anything but use the CFLs," he says of compact fluorescent light bulbs. "I put them in once and couldn't stand the way they lit up the room."

The kinder, gentler, greener and warmer side of Beck, known as a firebrand conservative, came to light in an interview in USA Weekend.

Beck also has lots of friends on the other side of the political spectrum, he reveals. He calls George Clooney "a good, honest man." Beck says the two of them had an extended conversation about the genocide in Darfur.

"We came to an immediate, completely wholehearted agreement about the situation," Beck says. "That is, to put aside the politics and give troops what they need to protect people over there. He's a good, honest man who believes passionately about doing something about it."

Beck's personal publicist, Matt Hiltzik, is a Democratic power player who helped get Hillary Rodham Clinton elected to the U.S. Senate, says the magazine report.

I’m one of those Beck supporters and frankly don’t care if a few GOP groin leeches and nutjobs like it or not.

Yeah, it goes up and it comes down. Funny about that.

USA Weekend was wrong on at least 4 counts. He said so on his radio show and on his website. WND needs to do a little fact checking before they run off at the keyboard based on something in the MSM.

Interesting to see all of the FR posters that are butt-hurt from Glenn’s speech.

Collective spastic flailing around as if the Freepers had fire ant’s dumped down their pants.

Glen is a flak who I though was sensible in the important ways, but apparently not. His pining over Couric’s party invitation, low greasy tone with Palin and now global warming and Clooney... Good lord. Maybe he thinks he has conquered the conservatives and now to conquer the liberals on their terms. Clooney — today’s Rock Hudson — will spin his head and Glenn better watch it or he’ll be for gay marriage and pro Hezbollah. Look at Arnold...

USA Today got it wrong. On his radio show, Beck stated ahead of the article’s publication that maybe four out of the ten ‘facts’ stated were actually true. Who to believe - Beck, USA Today or World Nut Daily. I think I’ll take Beck’s word since the article is about HIM.

I find this hard to believe given that Beck produced a serious anti-Warmist documentary when still on HLN. He also spent about half of “An Inconvenient Book” trashing those theories.

He said he was a Reagan-style conservative, not a Reagan-style Republican.

Because it was a fluke that Reagan got the Republican nomination. Had the Republican leadership gotten what they wanted, they’d have picked a RINO of the time.

The writer of the quote is just another deluded idiot that thinks Republican=Conservative. It’s not, far too often Republican=Moderate/Liberal.

Idiots want to use the nancy pelosi style of housecleaning they shouldn’t whine when Beck exposes dirt.

I don’t know where some of you are coming from. I’m keeping a close eye on Beck, and everyone else I listen to. So far, so good. This story is out of context garbage, and Joe Farah is bitter and jealous.

What....Glenn doesn’t like being labeled a ‘Warmer’?

LMAO. Payback is a bitch. Maybe he shouldn’t have smeared the Constitutionalists aka ‘birthers’ by lumping us in with a bunch of 9/11 leftist lunatic truthers.

You have to question someone kissing up to Oreilly who is a Obama lap dog.

Tonight he mentioned Rush’s comments about the factor will be fair and balanced when it comes to socialism and communism because we are looking out for you.

He said I dont believe Obama is a socialist? A fifth grader could figure that one out. People need to realize that Oreilly is one of the most powerful tool for the left.

Once he had it out with Frank people thought wow this guy is good it was all bs the next time he had him on they were snuggling up to each other.

I think this is a crusade against those who do not take on the birth issue.

I also believe there is something explosive Obama is hiding.

It could take years to find out what that is.

it is not necessary for everyone to be forced to pursue the issue.

I will applaud anyone who can help lead Obama out the WH door.

This kind of stuff is over the top.

So you're admitting that lying is OK?

The increasing distance I put between myself and birthers appears to be a good thing.

I saw some of that. I watch Bill O’Relly for ten minutes then bailed. Very boring to see Newt Gingrich and Juan Williams on the show....

Thanks. I did not note the source. It is my habit, when I see WND, to skip over. I will go back to my more careful habits.
