I had heard that this had happened, but before yesterday, my location in Cypress, Texas hadn't implemented it.
Yesterday, I walked in and got onto an elliptical and saw CNN in place of Fox News and next to it a show on Bravo where I was treated to two men making out!! I was glad the two 15 year old girls down the row were able to witness it.
I asked the sales guys and was told it was "corporate".
I may be at another gym soon. Does anyone here have any more info on why they are doing this?
They have CNN crap in their Florida gyms and it is sickeneing. They need to put it on sports or something.
They also show CNN at my local bank.
They don’t like that Glenn Beck dissed the Birth Certificate/Constitutionalists.
I don’t, but I can tell you that my wife and I are making more concerted efforts to put our money with businesses that are not openly promoting liberal thinking.
CNN would have no viewers but not for airports and other forced viewing.
My gym in California always had CNN on. I would ask them to change the channel when I would use the treadmill. No one would ever complain after it was changed to FoxNews.
Comcast cable on demand promotes CNN not Fox News. They also have added 2 green stations, 2 gay stations, and more latino stations.
I live in Cypress. My wife goes to 24 Hour Fitness here — they’re running FoxNews as far as I know.
SnakeDoc
Next week, they’ll switch channels to 0bama on his knees chanting in Arabic.
Our local YMCA has about 5 TV’s in their big work out area. Every month there are about 5 members that complain that our YMCA dares to show Fox News on one of the channels. Well, our YMCA also will have CNN or MSNBC on.. so, pick a machine that is by the CNN TV and ignore Fox News!
My husband picks up extra hours at the YMCA and this last Saturday yet another member complained about Fox News being on the television that she was working out by. My husband changed the TV channel for that member... but then proceeded to put two other TV’s on Fox News.
It just seems like a joined effort by some to get the YMCA to completely stop offering Fox News in the gym area. It's very frustrating.
Go to costco.com and get a two year membership for only $299 with no enrollment fee.
A lunatic calmly strolled into an LA Fitness branch here and shot and killed several women. He was a member. They clearly have bigger issues to deal with than what’s on TV.
Next: prayer rugs.
You are part of the ‘extreme’ right
if you watch FNS ?
They probably got a better deal. CNN is probably almost free thes days.
“my wife and I are making more concerted efforts to put our money with businesses that are not openly promoting liberal thinking”
I agree. Some will say boycotts do not make a difference, but my conscience is not compromised.
