Obama Unveils Health Care Plan, Violates Pledge by Keeping Abortion Funding

Washington, DC -- President Barack Obama has proposed changes he thinks should be included in the changes made to the Senate health care bill as Democrats move ahead with their plan to railroad the bill thorough Congress via reconciliation. However, Obama does not propose any changes to the massive abortion funding.

Any update on the count of broken promises? Perhaps a count of kept promises would be easier.

Anyone who believed he would (certain Bishops, ahem ahem) should be checked to see if they have enough functioning brain cells to maintain heartbeat and respiration.

Shall we set up a pool as to which nine Democrat Senators (but no more than nine, so that “Plugs” Biden can cast the deciding vote) vote against the bill to try and save their seats.

Abortion is what this bill is all about.

Abortion is VERY important to humanity’s enemy.

Good. If this doesn’t force the base to rise up and hold the feet of rinos to the fire, I don’t know what will.
If 0bama were smart, he would have stripped out abortion funding and tried to get it in through some slimy type of loophole through executive order. Now the pro-life community and the Catholic Church will continue to oppose this horrible bill.
0bama is no genius. He is not slick like slick Willie.

“Any update on the count of broken promises? Perhaps a count of kept promises would be easier.”

The Republicans should measure this proposal against Obama’s standards/promises, i.e., use his own words against him. In their opening statement, they should just say they cannot support his proposed plan because it violates all his principles/promises. Then they can turn the microphone over to the president: “In light of the X different ways in which this proposal violates what you promised Americans they could expect for health reform, why are YOU in favor of this proposal?”

At some point they also should point out that 61% of Americans want Congress to start over on health care rather than keep pushing the plans passed by the House and Senate. “In light of these clearly stated views that have gotten more rather than less critical of the House and Senate plans over time, why are you ignoring these wishes, Mr. President? Do you believe American public opinion on this question is irrelevant, or do you simply think the American public is too stupid to weigh in on this debate?”

Obama’s hemming and hawing in the face of such pointed questioning would be memorialized in YouTube for weeks. Obama’s negatives would plunge even further, and there would be no chance Congress could pass this turkey by Easter.

I agree. Bill Clinton was an opportunist, with years of experience facing and negotiating with opponents. Zero has no tactic other than stating his desired outcome, and calling everyone “racist” if they oppose it. Unfortunately for him, nobody cares anymore. It’s a joke.

“Violates Pledge by Keeping Abortion Funding”

Guaranteeing it will not pass the House.

Abortion is sucker bait. after a bunch of people voice their objections based on abortion funding, he will "Negotiate" to throw it out in exchange for the rest of the bill going through. Suckers will agree.

I don’t think so.
From my observation of who this guy is working for,
abortion is a “must have”.

His “boss” insists that everyone in the country, especially Christians, are complicit in paying for the murder of the unborn.

Barack Obama wants this plan to fail.

Obama wins through backroom deals, not through honest debate and transparency.

Obama’s writing his third autobiography and this one he’s actually writing himself. It’s a tragedy. It’s the poor, well-meaning man of the people who sought to bring hope and change to the masses and was thwarted by those evil Republicans and a few Democrats (Stupak’s crew and a few Senators who need cover) who were cowed by that GOP that we all know is racist. Come on, you know it is.

Alas, Barack Obama was just too good for us. We didn’t deserve him but one day we might be worthy. Unfortunately, such a rara avis doesn’t come around often enough.

One glorious, unicorn-filled day, we will be ready. We can only hope that he can come down from Olympus to bless us.

It will pass the House.
Once Pelosi reads them the facts of life (no earmarks for them, no bills submitted, no committee assignments, funding for a primary opponent) they will fall in line.

The Democrats have cast healthcare as their essistential vote. If it fails, they fail. They have too much invested at this point. Therefore, it will pass. They are too stupid (too arrogant) to realize it will also kill them in the election, but Nancy and Harry think that voters are stupid (some truth there) and will forget come November and only remember that the Dems gave them “free” healthcare.

The Republican strategy should now be how to reverse the vote and undo the legislation after they get back in control, but that is years away as long as the RINOs run the party.

You are correct. Let me add one other point. Once the government has control of the healthcare of the nation, they will reintroduce the abortion language and compel it.
