Making a last-ditch effort to save his health care overhaul, President Barack Obama on Monday put forward a nearly $1 trillion, 10-year compromise that would allow the government to deny or roll back egregious insurance premium increases that infuriated consumers.
Posted Monday morning on the White House Web site, the plan would provide coverage to more than 31 million Americans now uninsured without adding to the federal deficit. It comes just four days before Obama's one-of-a-kind, televised health care summit with Democrats and Republicans.

Hey I knew it was the Democrat’s message about eugenics that was causing the problem. Hide it deep.
.
FUBO
What I want to know is what collusion went into getting the insurers to announce the sudden, unprovoked premium increases last month that set the stage for this?
The concept of bi-partisanship is one thing, but this dog and pony show that they are having will be a joke.
And now news has leaked out that they are still secretly writing the legislation THAT THEY WILL SHOVE THROUGH USING RECONCILIATION!
On the one hand, they are saying, we’re having this summit conference to deal with healthcare legislation, BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, THEY ARE WRITING THE LEGISLATION IN SECRET!!!!!
Will any Republicans have the courage to call the president out on this obvious sleight of hand?
Will anyone have the courage to file a lawsuit against Obamacare if they pass it using reconciliation, when reconciliation is intended for budgetary bills only??????
there is a conspiracy theory floating out there that the actuaries have told these insurance companies that they’ve milked about all they are gonna get from this cow, and they are about to enter a “peak oil” type scenario. Hence cut your losses now and dump the whole mess on the Gubbermint before too many baby boomers become long-term hospital patients.
Nice to see democrats are able to compromise with democrats.
“Hence cut your losses now and dump the whole mess on the Gubbermint before too many baby boomers become long-term hospital patients.”
You Got It!!
How can anybody write that with a straight face?
FREE LUNCH, anyone?
Dare them to do it on their own. Dare them to own it. Dare them to rahm it down. Refuse to meet with the fascists on this.
What are state governments going to do to protect their people from this predatory, tyrannical federal government? If your state is doing nothing, maybe you need to get in there and do the legislating yourself.
It’s rather easy to do, just pass massive new taxes to cover it.
It will be interesting to see the healthcare plan the delinquent kids in the Obamao syndicate put together. God help us.
Very possible.

And let’s have who actually is responsible for writing ,”crafted”, framed, this “last ditch” effort. Could it be that the gang of four in the Senate (and the “independent” Lieberman) staff’s and lobbyists are the one’s whipping this right into the last lap? How about some names. Who wrote this Monday “compromise.?
QUESTION FOR EVERYONE: Will this help or hurt Obama politically; with: His base? Republicans? Independents?
The damage is already done....Obamy is toast!
The exact collusion you imagine. But it still will not work.
What's infuriating is that some dumb government bureaucrat somewhere is going to decide how much insurance companies can charge for their services.
This is not going to end well.

Graphic fact file comparing health care services and costs in a range of countries. President Barack Obama has unveiled his own plan to overhaul the US health care system by providing cover for 31 million uninsured and cracking down on exorbitant premium hikes by insurers. (AFP/Graphic)
