Tell me something we didn't already know. At least now we are clear. MSNBC now has their new fake Republican who parrots progressive dogma

He’s like Kathleen Parker. A faux “conservative” with no following who is put forth as a “foil” by the MSM to make it look like they’re recognizing other viewpoints when in fact, they are used to bash real conservatives who do have a following and ideas. He also endorsed Obama.

I think President Obama is earnest, smart, and much more centrist than his tea party caricature suggests.

Just how tasty IS that kool-aid, Smerky?

Once this guy was not an idiot. Not anymore. The last straw for me was his “am-I-not-just-so-very-clever?” criticism of Sarah Palin’s hand notes. No, wait...the last straw might have been his soggy sympathetic remarks about Evan Bayh’s decision to leave the Senate; how Bayh was such a moderate and how moderates just can’t survive in today’s Senate. Never mind that Bayh hadn’t uttered word one about his party’s shift to the left until it became painfully obvious they were heading to the dumpster.

Why is it that RINO's always cite "social issues and religious right" as their reason for departure, but in reality, the opposition to them is usually due to supporting a fiscal issue that only a Democrat would support?

... and just like that I'd exited the Republican Party after 30 years of active membership.

And just like that, he rendered himself totally irrelavant to anything that happens within the Republican Party.

I suspect this idiot is being paid to write this with the prospect of luring conservatives to also leave the Republican Party, so the RINOs and Democrats can maintain their 100% control of government.

“It took only the single tap of a computer key, and just like that I’d exited the Republican Party after 30 years of active membership. The context might sound impulsive, but I’d been thinking of becoming an independent for a long time. I just hadn’t expected that a trip to renew my driver’s license would mark the end. “

...Yawn. Spare us your melodrama. And why should we care ans be so attuned to your life and what you do?

I was appalled that legislators tried to decide Terri Schiavo's end-of-life plan.

Murdering somebody now qualifies as carrying out their "end-of-life plan"?

I know he... isn't a socialist

Smerconish is either a bold liar or he has no idea what socialism is.

I heard him go on and on several times about obama before the election...I’m sure he voted for him. I’ve been meaning to call his show the next time I’m in Philly just to askk him what obama’s ass tasted like since he had his lips all over it for so long.

Michael Smerconish is a case study on how a rising "Celbrity" turns someone into a "Progressive", for lack of a better word.
Amazingly Michael Smerconish is a guest on Chris Mathews show "Hardball" and the sumation of his opinion is (Can't We all just get along) or (We need to get the Politics out of Politics).
Smerconish like to espouse that he is not a "KoolAid Drinker", but Michael, KoolAid comes in Grape flavor as well as Cherry.

He was a solid Republican, just like Arianna Huffington. Uh-huh.

Having seen so many lying liberals on other forums, who begin what they write with variations of, “I used to be a conservative Republican, but...”, and then go on to embrace abortion, anti-Iraq war, socialized medicine, high taxes, environmental wacko-ism, etc., I’ve come up with two simple responses.

Either I do it right back at them, writing “I used to be a liberal Democrat, but...”, and then fully embrace conservative doctrines.

Or else I say the reason I am now a liberal Democrat is because I have become a racist, antisemitic, socialist anti-American, who wants to see America reduced to a 4th world poverty stricken hell hole, and this is what liberal Democrats want, too.

Unfortunately, I have gotten responses telling me to “Shhh!”, that I can’t openly say that, that I have to lie and say I am a conservative.

This I find deeply disturbing.
