You're welcome for the history lesson.

Yours is a bit warped and egotistical, so I'm glad I could help you out.

Bush nominated Alito. You can say whatever you want, but zeestephen wasn't in the White House standing by Sam Alito.

George W. Bush was. HE gets the credit.

ohio,

While you're handing out merit badges don't forget to credit Bush for:

(1) Nominating a center-left mediocrity before he nominated Alito.
(2) Trying to give blanket amnesty to 15 million illegal aliens who would immediately vote 75%-25% against the GOP.
(3) Bailing out the United Auto Workers who vote 75%-25% against the GOP and will spend millions of bailout dollars to defeat GOP candidates in 2010.
(4) Signing McCain-Feingold.
(5) Publicly supporting and signing legislation that removed down payment and income restrictions on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mortgages, which directly led to the greatest housing bubble, and greatest housing collapse, in American history.
(6) No Child Left Behind, which pointlessly expanded federal involvement in local school decisions.
(7) A $100 billion unfunded Medicare prescription drug bill.
(8) Refusing to challenge racial quota policies at the University of Michigan.
(9) Expanding federal spending at the fastest rate in 60 years.

The good news:

Like his father, George Bush was a hawk on military and foreign policy.

The bad news:

Like his father, George Bush was a big government, big spending, Rockefeller Republican.

The Bush's have been a political catastrophe for Conservatives.
