Study: Warming to bring stronger hurricanes (fewer but stronger,, uhh.. right)

WASHINGTON – Top researchers now agree that the world is likely to get stronger but fewer hurricanes in the future because of global warming, seeming to settle a scientific debate on the subject. But they say there's not enough evidence yet to tell whether that effect has already begun.

Since just before Hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana and Mississippi in 2005, dueling scientific papers have clashed about whether global warming is worsening hurricanes and will do so in the future. The new study seems to split the difference. A special World Meteorological Organization panel of 10 experts in both hurricanes and climate change — including leading scientists from both sides — came up with a consensus, which is published online Sunday in the journal Nature Geoscience.

"We've really come a long way in the last two years about our knowledge of the hurricane and climate issue," said study co-author Chris Landsea, a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration top hurricane researcher. The technical term for these storms are tropical cyclones; in the Atlantic they get called hurricanes, elsewhere typhoons.

But...but...but the “experts” told us last week that weather has nothing to do with ‘climate change’. They’re not the same thing. What the...! Who am I supposed to believe?

The article is nothing but self-serving twaddle; the time frame of the ''predictions'' is ''by the end of the century'' (90 bloody years!), and is thus not verifiable in any reasonable and useful term.

Defund these clowns NOW.

What the hell is a “Top Researcher”?

Is that like a “Leading Scientist”?

Exactly where are these standings listed and how are they compiled?

I am sure they are formulated with the same BS method that they use to make their claims...(rant off)

“But they say there’s not enough evidence yet to tell whether that effect has already begun.” Just a wild guess. The first hurricane that happens next season will be “evidence” that the effect has begun.

Notice how everything these days has to be tied to global warming? If it snows, it’s warming. If it doesn’t snow, it’s warming. Hurricanes are warming. Droughts are warming. Hot is warming. Cold is warming. All these faux scientists involved in the warming scam insist upon linking everything to warming. They are like conspiracy kooks.

I suspect that maybe these global warming bull crappers are getting money under the table from some window company making hurricane resistant windows or maybe a window company giving money to the Democrats if they will push this bull. Hey you never know, these people don’t lie for nothing,

Experts say that global warming will cause the number of hurricanes to increase, decrease, or remain the same.

Oh fer cryin’ out loud! Is the AP still in business? I was just watching Ann Coulter doing Q&A at CPAC (YouTube, recorded from C-SPAN). In response to a question, she said she wouldn’t believe it if anyone in the audience was still relying on newspapers for news.
