Conservatives cheer Medina's message in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH -- Marvin Bahnman doesn't like where the country is headed.

He believes in small government, fiscal responsibility and conservatism.

So he carried a sign that said "You can't fix stupid, but you can vote them out" outside the Cowtown Coliseum in the Stockyards, where a get-out-the-vote rally Saturday drew supporters of the Tea Party and 912 Fort Worth grassroots movements.

"I'm not a Republican," said Bahnman, 74, of Fort Worth. "I am a conservative."

Inside the coliseum, decorated with candidate signs, flags and balloons, dozens of candidates on the March 2 Republican primary ballot spoke to hundreds gathered there.

For many, Saturday was a chance to hear from some candidates who feel the way they do -- tired of big government and career politicians.

"I'm concerned about the direction the country is going with freedoms, spending and big government," said Daniel Esparza, 45, of Fort Worth. "We need people who will bring us back to following the Constitution."

Former Secretary of State Roger Williams kicked off the rally, hosted by the United Conservative Coalition of Texas, which represents the Tea Party, 912 and other conservative groups in North Texas.

I saw something a while back on the La Raza thing which she said or was it on one of the videos??? Darn can’t remember. But she does favor Latinos and is hard seeking their votes.

I’ll try and find where I saw that...or heard it...but this thread is not the first place it’s been noted.

Pisser...for someone who lives in Washington you sure have lot’s of interest in our politics here in Texas. It would seem you have more than you can say grace over cleaning up the socialist mess in your home state...while you’re at it why don’t you take Medina out there to help you!

I think they’re all hard seeking the Latino vote, that’s ok with me, if people are LEGAL.

Perry says:Hispanic Texans will compose the largest demographic group in our state by 2020

La Raza is a radical, hateful, bunch of azzholes.

Medina is a Ron Paul fan, right?

Trying to find a Medina La Raza connection I ran across a couple of Ron Paul pages, I don’t know which might be his or just a Ron Paul fan-site sorta deal.

Anyhow, they don’t seem to like La Raza much at all, seems if Medina is a Ron Paul fan, she wouldn’t either.

I’m still trying to find firm proof that she’s a La Raza clown.

I really starting to doubt she is.

Beck didn’t ask her if she had “any questions”. He asked, “Here then let me be more frank and ask you the question: Do you believe the government was any way involved with the bringing down of the World Trade Centers on 9/11?”. You can have a ton of questions about 911, about various mistakes made, etc., but if you can’t answer that question with a straight up “No”, you are either a nutter, or pandering to nutters, and disqualified from office, IMHO.

Wow.. I actually agree with pissant.. Mark this down.

The Palin/Perry mindless robots will be out in full force carrying on about Medina’s experience but they’ll support The Quitter to be President.

Medina is right. The government should ALWAYS be asked questions about EVERYTHING. They should fear us. It doesn’t matter who is in office.

She gaffed the interview. She’s absolutely not a truther. Her point was that public should always be asking questions of our government.

Of course she’s wrong about the NYPD policemen who “got out” when the firemen didn’t. Watch the press conference video in that last link. *She* gave too much information.

As she gave too much information during the original interview when she went off on the mind control/psychological testing tangent. Beck kept trying to stop her with his, “You’ve answered the question, Debra.” She just kept on trying to prove she was right and he was wrong - but used a bizarre reasoning about *why* he was wrong.

The “mind control” comment was telling. And the next day at the press conference, she told the interviewers that other people were trying to make *her* look crazy. She thinks in those terms: that people try to control the thoughts of others. She believes that people think its “crazy” to have doubts about 9-11, that the information that has been given to the public is “mind control.”

Her reaction and comments both times don’t indicate defensive political naivete. I see bull-headed irritation, especially with the accusation that Beck expected “mind control” and “psychological testing.” She was defensive only in the attempt to prove that she was right and *in* the right. What she proved was that she did, indeed, have “a position on that,” and was lying when she said she didn’t.

And, no, I don’t think she was being attacked by political enemies when Beck asked her about the 9-11 truthers. I heard the whole Beck show from her interview, on. He was surprised by her answer/non-answer. He said he expected an easy dismissal.

I do know she was interviewed several times by Alex Jones, and that he had endorsed her a couple of days earlier. http://economycollapse.blogspot.com/

Easy there Tex! The point back is you forgot the interject the word “reasonable” in your four points.

Beck gave her three chances to correct herself during the interview and even asked if she heard the question right and she still didn’t come off her incoherent blather and dancing around the key point of the question.

Then she goes on the next day and declares that nobody from the NYPD was killed in the buildings? Yea, right; now there is a real bit of super spy research to project an objective viewpoint /sarc.

By the way, I’m a Native Texan and it does matter if someone can’t answer a straight question with a straight answer. Kinda like “Don’t stand there pissing on my boots while trying to tell me its raining”.

If someone running on the Pubbie ticket for whatever office thinks there’s a possibility that the Bush admin had something to do with 9/11, they are totally unfit to hold any office. Some “good questions” were raised? This woman is a dangerous dingbat.

I'm pretty sure it is a photo shopped logo from the La Raza site featuring Houston/Dallas radio stations. If you'll go back to when it was first posted and look at it and look at the current version it is evident it has been photo shopped. Patriot08 won't give you a direct answer to a question and displays racist attitudes without backup. Just my opinion but I think it degrades FR when one has to stoop to that level of deceit to bolster you claims. There are more than enough known items to blast Medina with without stooping to lies/deceit/racism.

Here is the Medina border plan: http://bigjolly.com/images/stories/files/debra-medina_border-security_01122010.pdf

Here is Patriot08’s first posting of picture, not the changes: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/2454855/posts?page=111#111

Web site from which the photo was copied, I believe: http://www.laraza.fm/

9/11 did not occur as governor of TX. Nor is it even a question.

You are ignoring her own words, which contradict any ‘clarification’ remarks made post Glenn Beck. And denying any cops died in 9-11? Wow. And people call Palin stupid.

SHe ain’t a truther,

Yes, she is,

and zero experience is preferable to RINO-itis.

"Zero experience"? As in the case of the ZERO who currently resides in the Whitehouse? Yah, that voting strategy has worked really well for the American people so far, don't you think? Yah, really well. /sarc

Patriot08 has very little credibility on medina. A couple days ago she had that medina was pro-abortion in her copy-paste anti-medina post. Its gone now since I called her on it. She was also flotinting some rumor about medinas family that had no backing. I’d be very leary about anything she posts if you are looking for facts.
