. . . Delahunts people have offered one ridiculous excuse after another for his weeklong silence. The congressman, they have said, is traveling in Israel. He was, but it isnt as though there are no phones there. He doesnt remember much, they say. Talk to the Braintree police . . .
Look, Ive known Delahunt for years, and Im not, at this point, reading too much into his actions. But Bishops alleged slayings constitute a huge tragedy, and how they happened is a matter of urgent business. There were not just red flags that she was criminally dangerous; there were gigantic neon signs that somehow went ignored. Everyone who played a role in that should be prepared to explain how that happened.
Delahunt has always been an accessible, even garrulous, public official, happy to explain his decisions and take on critics, which makes his silence even stranger. This is out of character.

Step after step....Amy Bishop has shown that she’s not capable of residing in society and should have been locked up after her brother’s episode.
I will offer this observation as well. I think by the time that she shot and killed her brother...that she’d already done a killing. And between her brother and the UAH folks? I’m also betting that she’s killed as well.
Her husband? This guy has to be sitting there and wondering how he avoided upsetting her and being dead himself. If I were this guy....I’d pack my bag, take the kids, and move to Alaska. Anything she says...is likely a lie, and you can only be happy that with all the little fights you had as man and wife...she didn’t kill you. And you have to be thankful that she didn’t kill any of the kids along the way.

He’s probably waiting as long as possible for all of the info to come forward so he knows how much lying he can get away with.
Interesting observation, but I disagree. She has an explosive personality(shoots her brother in front of mom, punches another customer in front of witnesses while shouting her own name, and the latest known incident)She’s not what I would call stealthy. I’ll bet her past is filled with public outbursts(road rage and the like) which never involved the cops because most people don’t have the time or inclination to fart around with the criminal justice system. She continued to get away with her behavior until the last murder spree.
She was going to Harvard. That was enough to give her a pass. In fact, if she hadn’t (allegedly), committed mass murder in front of surviving witnesses, unfortunately not nailing them all because the gun jammed, she’d still be loose. She’s one of the beautiful people. Besides, she wasn’t in her right mind. Ah, the tenure pressure cooker.
Here’s the comment I posted on that op-ed:

Delahunt will NOT be commenting on this. Here’s how it will go down:
—Delahunt remains in Israel.
—Gov. Patrick appoints an investigative commission.
—Now Delahunt can come home and say he can’t comment because the matter is under investigation.
—Investigation drags on.
—At the most politically favorable time for Dems, Delahunt announces he will not run again.
—The spin begins: it’s unsavory to demand answers from a man in the sunset of his life, who’s “dedicated his life to public service”, blah blah blah.
—After the election, when he’s no longer a Congressman, the new investigators will issue a non-finding, saying it happened so long ago there’s no way to reconstruct why critical questions weren’t asked and why so much info was left out of the state police report.
And we’ll never hear from Delahunt again. He’ll be told to keep a low profile.
That’s how The Machine protects its own.
MA seems to have a special place in the USA. Electing politicians who have no problem ignoring murders.
I am wondering if her husband was her ‘helper’ when the bomb was constructed and mailed to a fellow professor with whom the lovely Amy was warring.
Massachusetts has just announced that there is
a “statute of limitation” for any murder by any Democrat.
Amy Bishop’s murder is beyond that time, given her
voting record.
Actually she was attending Northeastern at the time. She went to Harvard fro postgraduate
