The Texas congressman who rattled the GOP establishment with his libertarian-leaning outsider run for president has suddenly found himself the target of the anti-incumbent Tea Party movement some credit him with helping inspire.

How about strong national defense?
The only frank and honest Conservative I see out there now is Michelle Bachmann, and maybe Sarah.
If Ron Paul had his way, America would:
1) Legalize prostitution in every community
2) Sell heroin at 7-Elevens
3) Screw every one of our allies
Who votes for this loon?

Well, if we merge his platform planks we could all legally screw prostitutes at every 7-11.
I'm also a big Governor Mitch Daniels (R-IN) fan, but he's a darkhorse in the ‘12 field. He's genuine and authentic - no showboating, no frills.
LOL.
HAHAHAHAAHAHA! So much for the Paulbots taking over the Tea Party. But I’m willing to bet they hang around and make enough noise to raise the chatter of ‘extremists’ by the MSM.
The ONLY ones who credit him with starting the movement are his own starry eyed worshippers.
Ok, N00b, I’m calling your kook ass out. You’ve already done your best to try and paint Free republic as sympathetic to that Stack nutjob on the Facebook thread, and now you’re here pushing anti-government crap. I hope the mods stick to you like flies on horse dung.
Was already crying about Facebook taking down a fan page of the John Stack.
While Iran has declared they will destroy Israel and America.
Building up their Nuclear systems and today showing off their new warship with vast weapons
Ron Paul has said, Iran is not a threat and leave them alone.
The IslamOfascists and the Left must fill his campaign funds.
Oh yeah, and I think that’s one of the main purposes. Paint us with their fringe brush. NOT going to happen.
He and his worshippers can lay claim on their own tea party, but NOT on TEA PARTY NATION that got our attention. In my case, that was Rick Santelli.
He didn’t inspire the movement. Santelli maybe. “R”’s and “D’s screwing us one too many time’s absolutely.
Paul’s kooks just want to co-opt the movement to advance their own version of extremisism. Forget it. I’d love to see Paul knocked out by a GOOD replacement.

An intersting discussion of Paul’s Fed Audit, http://commentarama.blogspot.com/2009/12/audit-fed-pros-and-cons.html
I wish and also think, the GOP should try to force him to run as a Libertarian, because that’s what he is.
And of course, all the newbie and sleeper trolls who are using this Joseph Stack assclown to connect him to FR via whacked out martyrdom and heavy anti-government rhetoric.
I respect him but he could never win. Problem is a certain percentage of the Tea Partiers would favor him over anyone else. My feeling is they are good for helping to win smaller, local elections but of no help at all with winning the presidency. The Tea Party movement really does turn off moderates and independents. And they vote. You need them to win. I don’t know who could win but it has to be someone most Republicans would like plus moderates and independents. That’s just reality.
