PATERSON, N.J. (Associated Press) -- Sen. Frank Lautenberg, at 86 the nation's second oldest U.S. senator, has curable lymphoma of the stomach, his office said Friday. Doctors for the Democrat found B-cell lymphoma that will require treatment over the next few months, spokesman Caley Gray said in a news release. He will not be resigning, Gray said.

Independent doctors agree that Lautenberg's type of lymphoma is usually treatable.

I suggest Lautenberg be politically topical and check into a Canadian health facility.

I wonder if Obama’s “Death Panel” would endorse the cost of his continuing care....

One of the best lines I saw today was that he should take this opportunity to apologize to his constituents for all the damage he’s done.

Why is it that seemingly the only way to get these a$$holes out of office is to carry them out in a coffin?

No way! He’s member of Congress and they don’t have a Cadillac health plan, they have the Rolls-Royce plan.

Remember - Barry hadn't much sympathy for Grandma; That means Old Man Lautenberg at his advanced age barely rates an aspirin on the ObamaCare Death Panel scale.

Because the Senator's free health care plan is so good they have stashes of Hitlerian drugs that keeps them amped up enough to walk around zombie like for years past their natural demise. Arlen Spector and Robert Byrd come to mind. Plus that Senator from the Dakotas whose brain imploded a few years ago. He probably ran up a $10 million dollar hospital bill. Nothing is too good for these gods on earth

He can do that by leaving immediately on a One-Way ticket to the Yukon Medical Centre.

Maybe he should get the same surgeon that Murtha got?

Sure it's treatable, doesn't mean it's curable.

Or it could be that their constituents are themselves brain-dead.

I cannot write what is in my heart and mind concerning this person. It is vile and not fit for human consumption.

The senator will soon join Teddy K and John Murtha. May they have an eternally warm spell in Hell!

He is not going to resign. He is a very partisan Dem and the governor of NJ is Republican.

They will carry him out feet first before he resigns. The only saving grace is that he might not be able to vote as often as previously. The Rats now have only 58.

Heard this on the news today but what struck me was the absolute determination to get back to the Senate's business...(we all know what that means). If we can't get term limits, shouldn't we push for AGE limits??? I mean for God's sake, 86 years old and determined to run for another term? His entire life has been about sucking the public treasury.........time to go. (imo)

No...I don't wish for a painful recovery but I do wish for 'him to GO AWAY .... (sort of like McCain)
