Although, that may be difficult, because the only arguments against whaling that I have seen were based on erroneous information (like your argument) or based on emotion.

I always enjoy hearing from the superior person who looks down upon arguments where feelings are mentioned. Feelings are the genesis of rational arguements. The need for justice comes from the feelings we commonly have about bad acts.

So, there is a country that continuously picks on and insults another country that is their most important trade partner, because they hunt several hundred out of a million or more minke whales that are no more intelligent than a pig.

Then, this whaling nation happens to be one of the very few democratic countries in their neighbourhood, too.

And, this mysterious green-ish country emits far more CO2 per head than the said whaling nation does.

Why are they doing this?

This must be the most ridiculous diplomatic raw in the history of mankind.
