I had a computer like that.

I had to put it in gear, release the clutch, and ease down on the mouse.

I could hear all kinds of gears grinding inside. Finally, I’d hear a loud CLUNK, and Free Republic would appear on the screen.

I think it was running Windows 1.0 or something.
