They are saying it's totally curable.

At his age, the Chemo will be brutal and require a lot of down time.

He should retire and enjoy his remaining years.

Absolutely, rest already.

It cannot be fun attending Georgetown cocktail parties while on chemo.

If he truly respected the people of New Jersey he would step down to allow the people's work to be done.
My feeling is he won't seek reelection in 2014 yet will still have some sort of crazy trick up his sleeve to seek to name a replacement.

Watching him as a Senator over all these terms, I get the impression that being in the Senate is what he enjoys. He came out of retirement to get appointed, and chose to run again, saying it made him feel alive.

Apparently he’s one of those seniors who enjoy making a big stink in the world. Sitting on a porch would drive the guy crazy. Lautenberg will probably collapse on the Senate floor and be carted off with his boots one.

My step father had this at 82 yrs. went thru therapy...died less than year later. Really takes a toll on a person at that age.
