U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg, New Jersey
(Excerpt) Read more at nj.com ...
Personally, I think he should be treated at a VA hospital. Something approximating the care he would receive under the Democrats health care plan.
Good for the goose don't you know....
How come nobody is mentioning how he weaseled his way back in after he was out when the torch was about to get beat?
So, he’s planning to run as a 90 year old and serve till he’s 96? Who does he think he is, Strom Thurmond.
That’s pure bs and he and his staff know it. It’s a way politicians use to make themselves appear NOT to be lame ducks, but who buys it?
(Sorry about your father.)
Judging from reading some of these experiences stomach cancer is very unpleasant.

Apparently murtha di’int.
At his age this has to be more dangerous even if they label it as treatable.
Though no fan of Lautenburg’s, I hope he recovers.
Hmmm. Under Obamacare, shouldn’t they just put him in hospice and let him die? He’s 86. He doesn’t have much more to contribute to society and just think of the low quality of his life from here on out, especially after chemotherapy. I think he should be denied care.
Of course, Obama has no intention of having his buds denied care the way the middle class will be any more than he intends to have his daughter suffer in public school the way normal people’s kids have to. Senators will always get that “extra something.”
This is actually not unusual - nothing odd about refining the diagnosis as more tests are done. Likely sequence of events: he fell because he was lightheaded due to low blood count. Docs look for cause of low blood count, find blood loss due to gastrointestinal bleeding. Preliminary tests show lesion in upper GI tract, which is most likely to be an ulcer. Docs proceed to endoscopy and biopsy, where the sample shows cancer.
Good riddance
Here's the history of lapdog reporting on Lautenberg current health:
U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg taken to area hospital after fall (2/15/10)If this had not been a Democrat, this same leftist media, would have been all over the hospital and its staff for the entire story - from day one. Remember, newly elected Governor Christie (R) would appoint a replacement if/when Lousenberg became unable to perform his Senatorial duties.(U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg is treated for bleeding ulcer 2/16/10)
U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg is diagnosed with cancer (2/19/10)
Some lymphoma is very treatable. Fred Thompson had lymphoma and was successfully treated with a reasonably good prognosis.
I would think that at age 86 the Chemo will do him in....
U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg is diagnosed with {stomach} cancer (2/19/10)
It's even more appropriately named than that. Check this one out:
Whose bright idea? (Boondoggle: Changing the lightbulbs at NJs new Frank Lautenberg Station)
What does it take to change light bulbs on the 75-foot rotunda ceiling of the massive Secaucus (Frank Lautenberg) rail station? First, crack a hole in the roof big enough to drive a crane through. Then, hoist a crane onto the roof using, well, another crane. Build a ramp, widen a doorway and protect the interior floor with some plywood. Then you can start thinking about unscrewing a light bulb.
While I may be no fan of Lautenberg, this isn’t unusual. He fell due to low blood count. They find bleeding from the stomach is the cause of the low blood count after some tests. They set him up for an endoscopy and biopsy and wait for the pathology report. The report shows the lesion is cancerous. No mystery that they didn’t have all tests done and all results in immediately.
When the hospital gives out information, they’re only going to give what they know, not what they suspect or might find as testing proceeds.
3 months.
Lautencadever is about to become a real cadaver. Chemo for stomach cancer at his age = “Dead Dem Walkng”
Republican Gov can appoint a Rep. replacement.
The Dems seem to be dropping lke flies?Devine intervention?
