...I should digress somewhat to say that I’m sure that I inherited the fascination for creative problem solving from my father. I realized this at a very young age.

This is the guy that crashed the plane today, right? Hmmmmm....I wonder what problem he solved...himself, to be sure.

Being an engineer, I can tell you that these guys are all too common in the industry. They can tell you everything you wanted to know (and didn't want to know) about blue LEDs but can't figure life out and still live with mommy at 57 years old (<=actual example).

Ya’ll take just about every chance you have to knock Ron Paul don’t you? "I don't give em hell, I just observe the truth and Paulinites think it's hell." =)

I can't speak for "Ya'll" (sic) -it's spelled Y'ALL- but I can tell you what bugs me about Paul, personally.

When he talks about the problems with the Federal Reserve, about the corruption in government...all these things are great, and I'm cheering right along, and then he goes off on a crackpot theme about drugs or whatever that makes me cringe.

If I was Rahm Emmanuel and wanted to associate the constitutional conservative movement with crackpot libertarian nonsense, I would hire Ron Paul to do it for me.

The underpants bomber was an engineer. So were eight... All of the engineers I know are just alcoholics

Sigh. As soon as anyone from any group does something spectacularly wrong, idiots begin to pile on that particular group. It's nonsense.

I am an engineer, have been for 22 years, and am a fine upstanding patriotic American. And so are dozens of other engineers I know.

Google’s cache was also updated rather quickly to display the FBI note.

"Maybe not a communist. He could be a Libertarian." I'm glad to see that somebody got it right.

A Libertarian accepts his situation in life or acts on his own to improve those circumstances.

A Libertarian does not believe in initial initiation of force especially against innocent individuals.

A Libertarian would not blame everyone or everything but himself for his troubles and then quote a Communist slogan at the end of his final screed!

He also dammed the unions when he talked about his 80 year old widow neighbor. Sometimes he sounds like a lib and sometimes a conservative.

Whoa. Now I’m even happier that a FReeper found the site, which lead to links and copies of the manifesto getting forwarded to the media, before the FBI could take it out. Otherwise, the media would certainly have hung this around the Tea Party’s collective necks. They’ll still try, but there’s substantial proof in Stack’s suicide manifesto to the contrary.

If railing against the bail out of the auto industry makes you a commie, then call me Karl Marx.

This was the suicide note apparently left by the moonbat pilot who flew his airplane into the building in Austin this AM.

Obviously he learned too well from his communist professors.

Yes. This is the hatred that fuels communist violence.

I’m wondering how the FBI can legally order someone to shut down a web site, just like that.

His comment: The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed. is from a book by Henry Fairlie titled Bite the Hand That Feeds You: Essays and Provocations

Fairlie was very much a anti-business, ant-establishment of all sorts. He was originally a Tory but slowly became anti-business and thought that politics was too moderate. see article: Reagan Was Wrong

The media tried to paint him as "conservative" but he was more like a Lyndon Larouche .

I don’t agree that this guy was a Communist. He was incredibly bitter over his handling on his life’s work by the IRS. He quoted the Communist thing at the end as a comparison, not because he believed in it. He worked and had businesses all his life.

He is anti-government. But where is he anti-Christian?

See, that’s why I’m not entirely convinced this guy is a communist. Sure, he has clearly been influenced by communist propoganda/writings, but he also seems to think that taxes are theft (which seems to be opposed to socialist/commie thinking). I’ve read through his screed twice, and I frankly think he’s just a loon. Not a lefty loon. Certainly not a righty loon. Just a loon. The world is better off without him.

Where did you ever get the Idea that Communists believe in Taxes. The only use taxation as a useful tool to help destroy Capitalism.

They actually believe that all funds should be placed in common and awarded to each comrade according to need. No taxation wanted or required.

>>Sounds to me like a guy who was hounded to death by the taxman and decided if he was gonna die he would take some of them with him.

Thats how I’m reading it too. Yeah, the note is rambling and incoherent at times but the guy was also unstable enough to off himself, so that’s not unexpected.

I’m not seeing hardcore Commie or anti-Christian or anything else like that in this, those references all circulate around the main theme of this being the ultimate tax protest.

I get the sense he, being unstable to begin with, then got pushed too hard by gov’t bureacracy, he snapped, and tried to take it out on them while simultaenously offing himself.

It seems like he acquired the piano (”a business expense”) for his new wife’s business (the $12,700 in undeclared income).

He’s a software engineer, not a piano teacher.

He could be a Libertarian.

Impossible. There wasn't a word about marijuana prohibition in there.

Which brings me to Ron Paul. Holy crap I hate Ron Paul. I’m going to put the old question of libertarianism and lezzes-faire capitalism aside, because I’m tired of arguing about it. See AnarchistFAQ.org. Ron Paul is an incredibly anti-immigrant BIGOT:http://www.ronpaul2008.com/issues/border-security-and-immigration-reform/ If he comes to CT, that is the basis upon which I will organize an action against him. He is using and exaserbating the xenophobic hysteria in the US today to promote himself. Anything else that could be construed to be positive about him is completely negated by that fact. He is part and parcel of the movement that includes the Minutemen, union busters, and explicit fascists. He wants to cut off all aid to these super-exploited colonized communities on the basis that they were born on the wrong side of some invisible fucking line—by which he really means that they’re actually born the wrong color. You wonder why you never hear any of these creeps rail against the massive amounts of immigrants from Eastern Europe here without documentation...........

So instead of funneling the popular discontent in this country against the real enemies, the capitalist class, he has embraced the populist reactionary rhetoric that is classical fascism. He is part of a growing pattern of reactionary tendencies carving out a niche on the LEFT. The ‘9/11 Truth Movement’ has been steadily incubating for years, and as I mentioned above, they’re pretty common in the antiwar movement. They have much of the energy and motivation that the mainstream antiwar movement lacks, which by comparison makes them seem awfully charismatic and appealing. Fortunately, they’re also full of wingnuts..........
