While it probably isn’t organized terrorism, it is a terrorist act. It was designed to hit a visible, relevant target — that’s terrorism in my book.

I suppose that's true. But it's in the same category as every kook who has shot up bosses, coworkers, etc. to "get even" with everyone who "done him wrong".

He went postal and used a plane instead of a gun. It wasn't in the same class as Islamofascist terrorism. Call it 2nd degree instead of 1st degree...

That's my take.

N2889D is registered to a Joseph A Stack in Lincoln, CA.

But, the only Joseph A Stack that is in the pilot registry has rotorcraft ratings. He has no airplane ratings. But, there's also no address in the public records.

I suspect this is a stolen plane.

KXAN says neighbors rescued woman and daughter from burning Austin home.

KXAN also IDs owner as Joseph Stack who might’ve stolen plane that later crashed. The type (Cessna?) is consistent with what crashed into the IRS building.
