Fred's endorsed Rob Simmons in the Conn. U.S. Senate primary too -- and Simmon's is another backstabbing RINO who's even well to the left of McCain. Hopefully Fred's endorsement in that Senate race has as much weight as his efforts in AZ.

If any other nationally known Republican figure (George W. Bush, Romney, Huckabee, etc.) endorsed McCain or Simmons, you'd see about 800 posts on this thread from Fredheads screaming "RINO, RINO, RINO" at them. Hell as someone else noted, even Palin's expected endorsement of McCain drew about 300 replies bashing her. But of course in this case, it's the great Fred Thompson, so all is forgiven.

Romney, Huckabee and Palin’s endorsements draw more fire because the three of them are presumed candidates for 2012. Thompson is not.
