Sixty-eight percent of the calories eaten by the poorest children of the United States (among which are the latinos) come from pizzas, potato chips, hamburgers and soft drinks.

Well, what they're eating is far from the cheapest food in America. That problem is not cost, but food choices, or parents who won't prepare healthier food from scratch.

Yes, the hair on the back of my neck stood up when I read that one. I can’t afford fast food ! But then, I live within my means, unlike most. But in the new ‘we are the world’ society we’re expected to bear the burden of THEIR food choices.
