It's no surprise that elitism and a pretentious point of view have a place on The Washington Post editorial page, but even this is a little much.
Pseudo-conservative columnist Kathleen Parker asserted that Trig Palin, the Down syndrome son of the 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin might one day find his mother's abortions comments "hurtful." A Feb 14 column published in the Post focused on the delicate art of criticizing Palin's recent political and personal defense of the special-needs community, stemming from White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel's controversial comments involving the word "retarded."
Parker recounted Palin's brief mention that she understands how women entertain the though of abortion when learning about the special needs of an unborn child. Instead of praise for Palin's honesty and candor, Parker seized the opportunity to criticize Palin's outspokenness and attempt to speak on behalf of her son.

Check out post #10...it’s worse than just ugly
As Earl Weaver once said “Kathleen Parker, god bless her soul, ought to worry about getting her @ss off a barstool once in a while and maybe a man would stick a pr!ck into her”.
Cheers!
Kathleen...You have become a woman fit only to be pitied.
Oh, yeah, that would bother me alright. Gee, mom, you had a chance to kill me and you didn’t do it? What’s wrong with you?/SAR. Is this guy serious? What a bunch of evil people reside on the left.
Another ugly broad to add to the gallery of creepy looking female rats.
I don't know...
Does anyone wonder if Malia Obama might read her father's thoughts one day and think she and her sister punished her mother?

You’re right. Never heard of Parker before her Sarah hit pieces.
Right on!!! You squarely hit the nail on the head!
Very nice job!
See if you can't spread that message a little far and wide, huh? Do us all a favor...
CA....
Hi there - am looking for same - ping me if you find it first and I’ll do the same for you.
This Parker woman - how pathetic. Does she really not know what venomous, catty, snake of a woman she reveals herself to be???? I pity her. I really really do. She has to be one miserable soul. Realize this sounds bad to some, but she needs our prayers!!!
I resolved some time ago that reading K. Parker is worse than a waste of time.
If Sarah P. becomes a candidate for election to any office some of the weirdos in the Lame Stream Press will become candidates for straight jackets.
So, I guess Kathleen wouldn’t be calling attention to her and her child... correct? It’s not as if she could have contacted her privately, (since she’s so concerned).
So conservative, working, Hillary loving mom that she is, she wants Sarah to shut up, not be seen with her child, not speak up when the culture slanders special-needs or just stay barefoot, pregnant and out of her sight?
I gather she doesn’t have a special-needs child, or if she did, she wasn’t the one taking care of him/her most of the time or she’s forgotten. At the end of the day, it’s you and that child; He has to go to the hospital, problems at school, sitting down helping him to catch up later, dad’s working... momma’s baby. Maybe in her research re: Keeping Men (her book), she didn’t look at statistics on the strain of children with disabilities on fathers, as well as families in general. Trig is not her older daughters responsibility (she has her own), her son is fighting in Iraq (as if that’s not enough to stress her), her youngest has her own life (you wouldn’t dump a lot of duties on her, other than loving big sis), and the hubby works for a living. Happens all over the globe daily.
So she can’t speak her mind on a subject her beloved jerks know or care nothing about but spout ugly terms (and it’s not like it’s been once)? To defend them she lashes out at Palin?
Ah yes, motherly advice...
She said abortion for a reason. How long ago was it when Palin shared ‘honestly’ how she felt about ‘her choice’?
Parker has issues. This isn’t about one mom to another... not with that language and her history with Palin.
Sounds like someone aborted before, during or after her three sons. Maybe I can find the column she wrote on it, if that happened... did she tell her husband?; Or maybe she has abortion thoughts about her boys.
I wonder what she would think if that were in a well-read column? Exactly.
Someone should talk to Kathleen, she’s out of line.
Someone inform Mrs. Parker, Palin is a private citizen, we would welcome some facts on our government and a million other important stories being ignored. But it’s hard to complain when she’s a columnist and a mother. /s

re: abortion angle
Gee, is that the same Parker that wrote this?
Her position (as of 2006):
http://forthegrandchildren.blogspot.com/2006/10/abortion-chic-by-kathleen-parker.html
Yeah, Kathleen, you know, you may be right. One day Trig MAY find those words hurtful. But, then again, he MAY NOT.
One thing we can more sure of is he will be THANKFUL that his mother decided to give him life.
She’s aged 15 years in 2. I guess its true about how dangerous it is to slander God’s children.
Kathleen Parker is a c-word
I mean I almost never say that word but she merits it.
Sarah should slap her silly face.
Some women...I swear to God.
At least, in Wizard of Oz; the wicked witch gets her due. A 'self-implosion' would be welcome for Parker and all her like-minded ilk.
All to pathetic a spectacle passing as 'journalism' - and a journalist.
No.
Totally disgusting.
