Yes, and child rapists sometimes save people from liquor store robberies.

The numbers say that pit bulls are a menace to everyone around them — family as well as others.

she loves my dog Gizmo who is a pug

Sam also has a new friend named Gizmo, an 8 month old Shih tzu/Maltese cross.

We're sharing his house for a few months.
I'm very happy with the patience Sam shows under the unrelenting onslaught of puppy exuberance.
Sam often lays on his back and lets Gizmo climb all over him.
Other times they play tug a rope and sometimes Giz wins!
He'll do a victory lap with the rope, strutting proudly around the room.
Using Sam as a demonstration model I've been able to show Gizmo what 'gentle' means
and break him of his piranha like behavior when being offered food by hand.

Thanks for this story, Porterville. I am thankful for these wonderful dogs. I live in the city, and spend many days at home with my little ones. Our rottie girl is both a loving companion and an excellent visual deterrent to any unwelcome intruders (however, since she's never met a human that she hasn't loved, I'm not sure she would be anything more than a visual deterrent). :) Photobucket
