WASHINGTON The Taliban's top military commander has been captured in Pakistan in a joint operation by Pakistani and U.S. intelligence forces, The New York Times reported.

Baradar was captured in Karachi, Pakistan, in a raid by Pakistan's Directorate for Inter-Services Intelligence, with CIA operatives accompanying the Pakistanis, the Times reported. Pakistan has been leading the interrogation of Baradar, but Americans were also involved, it said.

If confirmed, Baradar's arrest would be a major setback for the Taliban.
He may also have information on the whereabouts of Omar and bin Laden.

He looks like the type of guy to whom the nobama administration will (a) qualify for a no-money-down mortgage (b) give political sanctuary because the Pakis are discriminating against him, (c) consider as a replacement for any of the DIMs who are not running again, (d) invite to many of their White House weekly parties, (e) provide with 99 weeks of unemployment insurance, (f) provide a TSA position or (g) all of the above.
Only if he ends up here in the States. HOWEVER, they will Mirandize the American Operatives who participated in his capture once they return home.
Since the ISI captured him, there’s a good chance he will “escape” soon. The ISI was one of the big backers of the Taliban when they were in control of Afghanistan.
