Like or loathe McCain, how exactly did McCain use Joe the Plumber??? Every conservative outlet in the country from Rush, to Hannity, to Levin, to Coulter, etc. picked up on this guy and his exchange with Obama, not just McCain, and played it over and over turning this guy into a conservative folk hero. What's he complaining about? If anything, McCain didn't put this guy to use enough in his campaign and what he revealed about Obama. Has Joe jumped the shark, now praising the man whose campaign utterly trashed him, going into his tax records and trashing his status as a plumber and in every other way belittling and attacking him? Sorry, hate McCain all you want but this is just out there.

And he finds Obama "honest?" Obama told us during the campaign what he wants to do? Sorry Joe, Obama never promised during the campaign to destroy private health insurance, to put terrorists on trial in civilian courts, to propose hiking dozens and dozens of taxes including now leaving the door open to hiking taxes on those making under $250K, and doubling the debt run up by every president from Washington to W. Bush in just 5 years, doubling it in 10 and hiking spending in his new budget to a record 25.9% of GNP, a record outside of WW2, and taking the US debt load to an economically catastophic 101% of GNP from the 40% Bush left it at in just a few years. Sounds to me like Obama's people might be threatening this guy with the IRS and using him for their own purposes.

He just wants persecutions from city, state, and federal agencies to stop. IRS audits, license queries, tax filings, licensing fees, private investigations and the like....can’t blame him I guess.

Joe turned into a media whore and his 15 minutes are over. Now, he’s willing to say or do anything to get it back.

“I think his ideology is un-American, but he's one of the more honest politicians. At least he told us what he wanted to do.”

No, candidate Obama LIED his way into the Oval Office. Those of us who looked further than the stories that Big Media was feeding us KNEW how he would act. But Zero was never honest about it. If he had told the truth about how he would govern he would have not been elected.

Joe the Plumber did a good thing by confronting the Alien Socialist Usurper. After that, I don't recall where McCain's people put a gun to his head and made him do anything.

This whining bullshit now just confirms that even heroes have feet of clay. He should give up the victim shit, go home, and unplug more toilets for awhile.

Let God be true and every man a liar.

It is ridiculous to idolize a person such as Joe the Plumber. It was waste of time for people to expend so much time and tape over a guy who could turn coat in a second.

But of course when you're drowning in the McCain candidacy, I suppose any straw in the torrent seems a salvation.

I still get a dull sense in the pit of my stomach as I remember voting for him. Horrible.

"He really screwed my life up is how I look at it."

Joe, you are way too modest, you did that all by yourself.

He said he appreciates Obama for his straightforwardness: "I think his ideology is un-American, but he's one of the more honest politicians. At least he told us what he wanted to do."

Obama, the biggest pathological liar in politics today and Joe the IMBECILE (new name) doesn't "get it." What a real loser. I wouldn't trust this guy to plunge my toilet.

I can see how he would think that. He met Obama during the socialist's only moment of honesty in the past decade.

Joe, Obama is a combo of totally honest on some things and totally dishonest on others. You are looking only at one of his 3-4 faces.

The Democratic Party, with orders from the very top, audited his taxes and looked up dirt on him. You can bet the farm that Obama’s Op Research team was dispatched to get as much as they could to smear Joe and leak it. And Joe thinks Obama is honest. And as other posters pointed out, how exactly did McCain use him? He was in the news and McCain commented on him. If Joe would have said “Leave me alone, I want to remain a private citizen,” McCain would have respected it. But Joe decided to go on TV and become a star. I don’t know where this nonsense comes from.

Bambi did tell Joe the truth to his face. He then lied saying contradictory things several times a day, the MSM played what they wanted the masses to hear. In Florida he ran ads on Rush’s show every break about his no taxes under 250,000, and being pro gun, etc. Lies lies lies.
Joe has my kudos for asking the right question.
Besides McCain sucked, I only voted for Sarah.

Joe the Plumber became a household name during Sen. John McCain's 2008 campaign, but now the man also known as Sam Wurzelbacher has harsh words for the former Republican presidential candidate.

This is another reason to support J D Hayworth for Senator from Arizona.

From what I can see, Joe said that Obama was “honest...because he told you when he was going to do.”

From what I can see, this simply means that Joe was paying attention when Obama was saying all along he was a radical socialist, and the MSM was spinning his meanings away.

Obama promised “change”. I’d say he’s sticking to that.

He promised, “to redistribute wealth”. Ditto.

He promised, “I’m going to come into your backyard and bring change.” No lie there.

He was openly admiring of third world dictators and Red China’s ability to control it’s people during the last Olympics. Out there for all to see.

Now the electorate has the nerve to say, “What happened?”

I think there's a lot of overreaction here. I remember thinking during the campaign that McCain was using Joe the Plumber. McCain wasted no time constantly using Joe's name on the campaign trail and in the debate that followed shortly after Joe confronted Obama in his neighborhood. There was no gimmicky strategy beneath him while he was flailing around in the aftermath of the economic free-fall that soured public opinion on the Republicans. Remember his proposed bailout of delinquent home loans (your property value goes down if your neighbor gets foreclosed on, so you need to pay his mortgage)? Suspending his campaign in a desperate attempt to look like he was going to ride in on his white horse and solve the economic crisis? Picking Sarah Palin to run with him (and I LOVE Sarah) was an obvious sop to conservatives, not a showing of dedication to principle on his part. In that sense, one could say that McCain was using her. I loved the simple message that Joe the Plumber and Tito the Builder spoke on the campaign trail, but McCain was clearly co-opting their get-government-out-of-my-way sentiment.

As for the 'supportive' statements about Obama, I believe the 'journalist' read into Joe's statement what he wanted to. Obama has been preaching for years exactly what he wanted to do as president. I've seen the video and heard the audio countless times in the last year and a half. Single-payer health care? He tried. Check. Cap-and-trade energy policies to make electric bills skyrocket? Check. Payoffs and more political power to the unions that support him? Check. He may have toned down or straight-up lied during the campaign about all the promises he's been making to the Left for all these years, but he is carrying them out now. I think that's what Joe may have been talking about. Whether or not we agree with Obama's principles, he's sticking to them, and he's sacrificing his own party to get his agenda in place. Right or wrong, that's principled.

Joe turned into an attention hound in the last year-and-a-half or so, no question. I didn't think much of some of his TV appearances in the last year. But I believe this reporter is trying to make a story by making him appear to have turned pro-Obama, which he is clearly not. He is quoted right in the article as saying Obama's policies are un-American. Please don't fall for this.

Granted, McCain is pretty much a jerk politician but he didn’t screw up the plumber’s life, Bozo did. The dimwits are the ones who did all the back ground checking and smearing in the media. His trouble started way before McCain took him on the campaign trail. He is trying to suck a** with Bozo now so they will call the dogs off. Too late Joe the coward, it won’t work.
