The Bush Admin and Senator McCain warned repeatedly about Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac and what thus became the 2008 financial crisis -- starting in 2002 (and actually even earlier -- in the Clinton and Carter White Houses. Democrats resisted and kept to their party line, extending loans to people who couldn't afford them -- just like you would expect of socialists.

I live in a conservative state. I'm not sure you do. Conservative != Republican. Start with that one and move on. Bush was as bad as McCain. There's another truth. Both parties are out for themselves, not for us and you can't believe what ANY politician says. There's yet another one. Eventually, you'll grow up politically and not be so simplistic to believe that PR and pretty pictures (I've been pointed to the old Day in the Life threads) means that the politician likes you and is a your friend.

He nominated a whole slew of conservative judges to the federal bench and two outstanding SC Justices who are holding the country together right now.
He was one of the finest Commanders in Chief our military has ever had and they loved him.
And you have done NOTHING.

He spent every waking moment trying to surrender us from Mexico. I defend myself and mine from “terror”, not Washington and not a rich kid from the North East. He ordered our soldiers on the border to WITHDRAW if faced with the Mexican Army crossing the border. He saw no trouble in allowing JAG-run-wild to railroad soldiers and Marines for doing their jobs. He was almost as PC as they come and the reason we are still in this war is that he refused to name the enemy.
