You were saying ...

For your sake I hope you are right.

While you might know this, it pays to make it clear that these things that I've said are not on the basis of my authority. I didn't come up with them, although I'm the one who is posting them here. These are the things that we find in the Bible. So, it's on the basis of the authority of the Bible that anyone says these things.

What you or anyone else has to make up their mind about -- is whether the Bible has the authority of the Creator of the Universe, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- or not.

Now..., I'm not saying that how you "make up your mind" about that -- "makes it so" ... it doesn't. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and His Word, that He has given us, stands on its own and is authoritative, regardless of who believes or not.

I'm just saying that you don't need to hope that I'm right, you (and anyone else reading) need to determine if the Bible is actually that Word of God, that it says it is, from the Creator of the Universe, who called everything into existence, by merely speaking it into existence, in those six days of creation. That's what you and everyone else needs to determine for "themselves" -- in order to decide whether they should accept the Salvation that this same Creator God has provided for everyone who will avail themselves of it.

The body passed the legislation, even though no one has ever proposed forcibly implanting microchips in humans.

To think such ignorant superstition could command adults in the 21st century is astonishing

The Bible isn't 'ignorant superstition', and it is entirely plausible that the mark of the beast could indeed be some sort of implanted chip. The technology exists now.

If anyone is ignorant here, it is the author of this piece of drivel.

Even if the Bible didn’t say that, it should still be opposed on the grounds of personal freedom. Only (some) Christians would be persuaded by an argument against this based on one interpretation of a verse, but everybody can be persuaded on the grounds of personal freedom. Know what the Bible says is good, know WHY the Bible says what is says is better.
