How do we MISS a run on the moguls when the entire thing is TAPED?

QUESTION: When they (NBC) show rank, they always show flags at the bottom with numbers.. but I cant figure out what those numbers mean... is that the judges scores?

The first five are the judges scores for the downhill. The top and bottom scores are dropped. The last two scores are for the “air”. Those are added to a score for the time (don’t ask me how they calculate that) to give the total score. They said the air is only 25% of the score. Not sure how much the other two parts are.

Now we won’t have to hear the NBC announcers talking about it anymore.

You just got to see a figure skating wipe out. Does that count?

Anybody else just see the fishy judging that put the Russians that fell in third place and knocked the Americans out of the top?

I’ll start.
I want to see the Americans. The other country’s athletes should be time fillers. Show me any American who medals. Show me the ceremonies. I want to see our flag even if it’s in third place, so I can cry and cheer. OUR athletes worked so hard. Let us be proud.

We are close enough to Windsor to get CBC. Guess who we see there. THE CANADIANS!!! Just as it should be. We deserve to see our athletes. I was called a Xenophobe for this opinion. I don’t care.

I completely agree with you.  They were gushing so much about the Canadians during the Mogul run tonight I actually turned it off.

I kept waiting for them to show the scores for the pair that were dressed in electric blue....they never showed them.

I missed it if they put it up. I have always loved watching the performances. I hate having the comentators talking and of course the judging is legendary for it’s shenanigans. Now both teams that had a fall have scored better than two wonderful, almost flawless performances.

It’s time for NBC to retire from the Olympics business. They whine about advertising and put on a disjointed and choppy show.

I am simply floored by the number of commercial breaks they are taking. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised, but I can remember when watching the Olympics wasn’t this frustrating. It used to be such a delight to watch them.
