CRU Chief Admits Warming May Not Be Unprecedented
HotAir via CDS ^ | 2/14/2010 | Ed Morrissey

In a rather stunning series of admissions, the suspended chief of the East Anglia CRU now admits that the warming seen in the late 20th century may not be unprecedented after all, that the planet has stopped warming for the last 15 years despite the predictions of AGW advocates, and that his own record-keeping has been poor. Phil Jones, who stepped down at least temporarily from his position at the CRU when its e-mails exposed a series of embarrassing attempts by climate scientists to undermine careers of skeptics and to hide contradictory data, now says that the entire basis of the “hockey stick” graph could have been invalid:

You’re right. This is downright criminal behavior. Jail time is the only way to send the right message.

Note that Al Gore has taken the peoples money and has gone into hiding. What ever happened to the class action suit against him?

They won't go down without a fight, however. Too much money at stake. And there will be holdouts of true believers, like those Japanese soldiers hiding out in caves on Pacific islands until the 1960's, waiting for orders from the emperor.

As soon as they approve the right for animals to have lawyers and trials, I see a huge lawsuit by the polar bears against Gore!

All of them are Bernie Madoff’s except they took money under color of authority.

No one voluntarily gave to the government like they did to Madoff, it was taken from us.

Our governor and AG here is CA still are.

How convenient Al Gore is in France, huh!? Extradition seems apropos, here, since he’s unfortunately and American citizen. His recent fortune and assets should be seized like those of drug dealers.

And they wonder why the words “scientific studies show....” are held in such utter derision by the “little people.”

“Of course, if the MWP was shown to be global in extent and as warm or warmer than today, then obviously the late 20th Century warmth would not be unprecedented. On the other hand, if the MWP was global, but was less warm than today, then the current warmth would be unprecedented.”

Of course, and if a frog had wings he wouldn’t bump his butt every time he tries to fly. These guys are really clawing to keep this farce alive. No matter what hard science you throw in front of them they find some way to weasel out of it meaning anything but we are all gonna die.

Liars and charlatans.

now admits that the warming seen in the late 20th century may not be unprecedented after all,

Just yesterday, I happened across the Wikipedia page on the Nordic Bronze Age. I quote:

The Nordic Bronze Age was characterized by a warm climate that began with a climate change circa 2700 BC (comparable to that of present-day central Germany and northern France). The warm climate permitted a relatively dense population and good farming, for example grapes were grown in Scandinavia at this time.

However a small change in climate between 850 BC and 760 BC and a more radical one circa 650 BC brought in a deteriorating, wetter and colder climate (sometimes believed to have given rise to the legend of the Fimbulwinter).

So, Scandinavia was warm enough four millenia ago to grow grapes. But, the climate changed, about (more or less) the time the Biblical prophet Jeremiah was writing.

Algore, call your office.
