I know this was already posted, but this is from a more mainstream source and figured it deserved more attention.
Personally, I think open carry in a state that doesn't allow the weapon to be loaded is asking to get robbed by a criminal.
It is almost as stupid as cops that have facebook pages. He is asking to get targeted by the criminals he is supposed to be putting away.
What good is openly carrying an unloaded weapon ?
Thats like asking someone to take it away from you.
What are you going to do, ?Beat someone over the head with it?
Do you get to carry one bullet in your pocket like Barney Fife?
I’m always tempted to don my ruck sack and go on a nice long road march down the highway...with my loaded AR15 in my hands and a loaded sidearm plainly visible. The road I want to do this on is crawling with state troopers. I want to see what they do about a citizen legally exercizing his legal right to carry openly. I suspect they will have some questions.
this prick needs a gang raping in the prison day room.../joke ?...
Only in Kalifornia. The right to open carry an UNLOADED weapon! Of course, Kalifornia demands that a homeowner run away rather than defend his home/family from a thug who breaks in!
What everybody needs to take from this story is that this cop is the real face of much of the law enforcement community. Not all but a significant group of them are a bunch of neo-Nazi goose stepping trash. They are not here to serve and protect. They are here to enforce and intimidate. They are here to make dam sure you working class white people shut up, sit down, do as you are told and keep the taxes coming.
Two can play that game. Not the time for a stupid cop to be even a cop.
the cop gets in trouble for expressing what most of them think. they no longer work for the citizens. its an us against them attitude and the notion that they exist to control us. all the more reason citizens need to be armed. tyrants out of control
A lot of cops consider the Constitution to be an obstacle to their happiness.
Sensible Gun Registration Plan That Will Work
Vermont State Rep. Fred Maslack has read the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, as well as Vermont ‘s own Constitution very carefully, and his strict interpretation of these documents is popping some eyeballs in New England and elsewhere.
Maslack recently proposed a bill to register “non-gun-owners” and require them to pay a $500 fee to the state. Thus Vermont would become the first state to require a permit for the luxury of going about unarmed and assess a fee of $500 for the privilege of not owning a gun.
Maslack read the “militia” phrase of the Second Amendment as not only affirming the right of the individual citizen to bear arms, but as a clear mandate to do so. He believes that universal gun ownership was advocated by the Framers of the Constitution as an antidote to a “monopoly of force” by the government as well as criminals. Vermont ‘s constitution states explicitly that “the people have a right to bear arms for the defense of themselves and the State” and those persons who are “conscientiously scrupulous of bearing arms” shall be required to “pay such equivalent.” Clearly, says Maslack, Vermonters have a constitutional obligation to arm themselves, so that they are capable of responding to “any situation that may arise.”
Under the bill, adults who choose not to own a firearm would be required to register their name, address, Social Security Number, and driver’s license number with the state. “There is a legitimate government interest in knowing who is not prepared to defend the state should they be asked to do so,” Maslack says Vermont already boasts a high rate of gun ownership along with the least restrictive laws of any state .. it’s currently the only state that allows acitizen to carry a concealed firearm without a permit. This combination of plenty of guns and few laws regulating them has resulted in a crime rate that is the third lowest in the nation.
“America is at that awkward stage. It’s too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.”
This makes sense! There is no reason why gun owners should have to pay taxes to support police protection for people not wanting to own guns. Let them contribute their fair share and pay their own way.
