Agree. Blaming McCain for his own want for publicity shows what a lightweight he is. McCain didn’t tie him to a chair and force him to say yes.
Sounds like everything in Joe’s life is somebody else’s fault.
Joe could have said no to McCain. He didn’t because Joe was using McCain as much as McCain used him.
I have no idea what conversations and strategies may have taken place involving the McCain Presidential campaign and Joe the Plumber. I doubt any here know either.
I'm not ready to abandon Sarah Palin, but she shouldn't be backing that RINO McCain. He's a big part of what is wrong with the Republican party and what is wrong with politics in the US in general.

I'd bet Joe the Plumber had only a general knowledge of McCain and his history and personality, then he learned much more of what Juan is like by being with his campaign for a few days. Only a minority of the population is knowledgeable about DC and the characters in play there day-to-day.
Joe was suddenly thrown in with all the sharks and posers and schemers of presidential politics, and he hasn't done that badly all things considered.
Joe has no one to blame but himself for his alleged hellish' life.

And, who's to say that her endorsement will make a difference...after all, she stands for individualism and would not want any of us to vote for McCain't just because she endorsed him. Use your own judgement.
Why endorse him at all? Of course I will use my own judgment. I have already sent money to JD and will probably go out to AZ to help him. McCain must be defeated period.
The problem with the America electorate - at least the conservative side - is they are looking for the "perfect" human being to run for President...one who espouses ALL of their pet values and thinks just like they do...if that happens, welcome to the democrat party...the lockstep, think-alike party.
For me, anmesty is THE ISSUE. If an amnesty is passed, this country will be destroyed with the stroke of a pen.

The bottom line is that high school dropouts are extremely expensive to U.S. taxpayers. It does not matter whether the dropout comes from Ohio, Tennessee, or Mexico. It does matter that the Senate immigration bill would increase the future flow of poorly educated immigrants into the U.S. and grant amnesty and access to government benefits to millions of poorly educated illegal aliens already here. Such legislation would inevitably impose huge costs on U.S. taxpayers.”
Heritage research has concluded that the cost of amnesty alone would be $2.6 trillion. And the number of additional LEGAL immigrants who would join those who were the recipients of amnesty through chain migration, i.e., family reunification, would approach 70 million over a 20-year period, assuming there are only 12 million illegal aliens. We cannot assimilate such numbers. An amnesty would destroy the United States of America with the stroke of a pen. Amnesty is forever. Once passed, everything else is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic
We just need to stop the micro-managing of the the POSSIBLE candidates and know that we have two years to sort this out, and at the rate obama is going, we may not have a country in two years...so STOP THE BICKERING, band together and get the commies out of the White House.
I want to get Maverick McCain out of the Senate. He is pro-amnesty, supports the closing of Gitmo and stopping enhanced interrogation techniques, favors cap and tax, is against drilling in ANWR, wants to limit political free speech and was part of the gang of 14. McCain also voted for TARP. The time to stop McCain is in the primary. He has a solid conservative running against him. We band together after we select the candidate.

Yes, the PRO CHOICE George H.W. Bush. Bush had to do a 180 on abortion to get the job. So to get elected Ronnie chose a pro choice Veep. Politics ain’t bean bag.

I’m betting Sarah will do one campaign stop for him, touting his patriotism, service, and role as a maverick. Seriously doubt she’ll get into policy. She’ll keep it generic, much like she did late in the 08 campaign.

McCain did more than try - he co-opted JtP’s message and brand. McCain also exploited Palin, but that’s the nature of politics.

Joe hasn’t a mind of his own? He could have said no to McCain if supporting McCain was so distasteful. Joe sounds more like a whiner than anything.
I agree. I swear some believe Sarah is going to move to AZ, set up headquarters and campaign nonstop for McCain.
I think that a lot of us are tired of "Real Politics" also known as "Politics as usual" and would like to see a leader that has "Real Values" for once and doesn't sell out.
By campaigning for Mclame, and knowing all that he stood for and will stand for again, once he is safely reelected, Palin has sold out. Unless she never had the values she espoused.
Joe probably viewed Juan as a war hero and a few other things. One’s view based on the media and what one might learn up close and personal can be very different. Spin all you want, but you and I also do not know, based on what we see in the media, prominent politicians as they really are.
The spin machine is always going around politicians and they all project a cultivated public persona. There have been many stories about the real McCain over the years, and his ‘charming’ personality.
So now Joe is a willing dupe? Nice. Proves he has no place anywhere near a political stage.
If more folks would take your suggestion and just read her book, they would have a better handle on things.

Like so many of us, we were faced with the choice between McCain and Obama. I had to hold my nose to vote for McCain. I also made telephone calls onhis behalf and was a poll watcher. Never again will I support such a candidate.
No wonder I fail to understand some here. I have never in my life entertained the thought of what a politician can do for me.
