I just did an experiment. If I try, I can make my lips do the same thing and I can also get that bit of puffiness and I’m not related to either of them (lol)and I’m not black. 0’s lips are very narrow compared to Frank’s and he has a tiny bit of a smile in that picture but Frank has no smile at all.
In regard to the au paire thing in Chicago in 1958(?), I have done some wondering if that could have been with the Ayers family. Her uncle could have helped set that up. Bill would have been a little old for a baby-sitter (I think he was about 13 then) but his brother would have been the right age to need someone around that could “watch” him during the summer. Bill might have enjoyed having someone around his own age and she could have shared with him some of the radical stuff she was picking up at her high school in Seattle. This is all COMPLETE speculation of course but I think it is plausible if she really did work as an au paire. She could have been the one that inspired him at that highly impressionable to follow a course that led eventually to his terrorist involvement in the Weather Underground. (I’m not saying that she personnaly could have inspired him to be a terrorist but just that she could have shared with him Marxist ideas that just got the ball rolling.) And this early relationship could explain Ayer’s willingness to help 0 with writing his book and having him appointed chair of the Annenberg Challenge. And since Cashill has done such a good job of showing how Ayers is the real author of “Dreams”, the information about her being an “au paire” could have come from him. Sometime last year, a blogger named Steve Diamond,who did extensive investigative research on the Annenberg Challenge, wrote up a report about a postman meeting 0 at the Ayers house in the mid-80s after he went to Chicago to be an organizer. I think it was indicated in that report that 0 had a welcomed association with the elder Ayers family. This also made me think it could be because of his mother. Again I emphasize this is speculation but it all fits together quite nicely for me.

OK. I can see some of her son in her. But if only there were a close-up/portrait and also something when she was in her 40s like the son is and then we could put them side by side. I find it kind of amusing seeing her referred to as 0’s step-mother but I guess she was even if she had no relationship with him.

There are two separate articles that are posted on the long thread of an interview with the babysitter who babysat Jr while Ann was attending class. One was in a gay newspaper and the other was from an Alaskan newspaper sionce the babysitter now lives in Alaska and is involved in some sort of teaching IIRC. Also Ann did NOT leave Seattle in summer of 1962 she was still there into the fall of 1962 because she was visited by a former classmate who had come back to Seattle from Utah and mentioned that she visited shortly before the end of the 1962 World’s Fair. The two mothers talked about babies while Jr played with the other mother’s daughter who was a few days younger than Jr. (sorry her name has slipped my mind and the notepad her name is written in is presently in ID not up here with me)

There has been a lot of speculation about the exact time when the photo was taken. Because the lei is presented to newcomers to HI many believe it was when Sr arrived, but leis are also presented upon graduation so it could also be June 22, 1962 on the dock as Sr prepared to set sail for San Francisco and his first stop to visit Hal and Shirley Abercrombie. Sr spent three months touring the U.S. before arriving at Harvard on a “crisp, cool late September morning” as mentioned in a Time article of the period.

There will always be liars and crooks. They’re not the problem. Any system that is going to survive has to be able to handle liars and crooks, to neuter their ability to hurt anybody else by it. We HAVE to have an honest media and honest law enforcement.
I believe that the threats of FCC license revocation if they reported on the issue was vital to what has happened. I think Obama’s lawyers had to scare the tar out of the CONSERVATIVE reporters/talk show hosts.
Initially the conservatives just ignored the issue - as many who tried to call in found out. Now that the questions are getting more pointed and there is more evidence of wrong-doing to cover for Obama, I think the Axelrod-Ailes meeting may have been to pressure the conservative talkers to actively ridicule people with questions. They have to convince conservative leadership that this issue is poison.
But I think the main people who are calling it poison are folks like Beck and O’Reilly, as well as their wannabes (like Red State) and the sites owned by Fox employees (such as Michelle Malkin’s Hot Air). The conservatives with independent voices - such as Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, and (now) Jeff Kuhner - are not ridiculing and are instead increasingly willing to hear the case honestly.
I think Breitbart is afraid to spend his credibility on this, at least for now. And maybe we need him to stand back so he can keep doing what he is doing.
If we can survive Obama’s attempt to divide and conquer us and can get the facts into the open, it will be an interesting soul-searching time as media people of all stripes ask how we got to a point where one man could hold the entire “mainstream” AND conservative media hostage.
