Kd Lang Hallelujah, Canadian pop music royalty shone brightly tonight at the opening ceremonies for the 21st Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. Canadian technical prowess, not so much.

Naturally the IOC has blocked it on YouTube on copyright grounds. :)

Most people on the live thread last night thought “she” was Wayne Newton.

Speaking of how she handled certain "lines".
"You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you"
She about cryed when she sang those words..:)

It was spooky-very uncomfortable. Don’t understand why some lesbians choose to look like men. It is a pretend thing that seems kinda psychologically sick, and it amazes me that they get so many to go along with the ickiness. Ie Ellen Degenerous. Ya love her, but it is weird to see that she pretends with her wardrobe that she is a man. Why?

Heyup. Lifestyle aside, she is a very talented singer.

kd lang is a "drag king" (as opposed to the "drag queens" we are more familiar with). Her voice is said to be similar to that of
castrati from earlier musical eras.
I'm just thankful for recorded music. I can listen to her without having to look at her.

He was remarkable.

I’ve heard her version on youtube...she does do a good job w/the song. I showed it to my 21 year old (he’d never heard of her) and he couldn’t believe she was a woman, LOL.
