Medina Campaign Responds to Glenn Beck Interview
MedinaForTexas.com ^ | February 11, 2010 | Debra Medina

Posted on 02/12/2010 9:43:36 PM PST by kingattax

I was asked a question on the Glenn Beck show today regarding my thoughts on the so-called 9/11 truth movement.

I have never been involved with the 9/11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11.

I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way.

No one can deny that the events on 9/11 were a tragedy for all Americans and especially those families who lost loved ones.

The question surprised me because it's not relevant to this race or the issues facing Texans. This campaign has always been about private property rights and state sovereignty.

It is focused on the issues facing Texans. It is not a vehicle for the 9-11 truth movement or any other group.

The real underlying question here, though, is whether or not people have the right to question our government. I think the fact that people are even asking questions on this level gets to the incredible distrust career politicians have fostered by so clearly taking their direction from special interests instead of the people, whether it's Rick Perry and his HPV mandate or Kay Hutchison and voting for the bank bailout.

It is absolutely the right and duty of a free people to question their government.

Texas does not need another politician who tells you what you want to hear, then violates your liberties and steals your property anyway.

I fully expect to be questioned and to be held accountable as Governor, and that's the underlying issue here: should people be questioning their government. And the answer is yes, they should be.

Medina is not qualified in any sense of the word to be Gov of TX or Gov of any state.

Uh- squeeze me?

"To serve as Governor of Texas, a person must be at least thirty years old, a United States citizen, and a resident of Texas for at least five years preceding his or her election. These are the only legal requirements to hold the office. "

and people do whatever they can to destroy you and your reputation

For Deb to not know the correct response to such a question or to not be prepared for such a question, means that Lil Deb must have been in a vacuum over the past 8 years or hoped Texas Repub voters had been.

Beck said the question came in response to “many” emails to him urging his bringing up the subject. Medina must have crossed this subject sometime before, for folks to be concerned. Regardless of why Beck asked, Medina gave the wrong answer for a lot us Texas voters. No amount of “I was blind-sided with that question” or “let me tell you a different version now that I have stepped into this steamin cow-pie” is not going make it all go away. Too bad for her and for Texas, some of her ideas were good and it looked like she had a great future and maybe a shot at Gov in 2016!

Thank you for your polite reply.
The point I was trying to illustrate was that these “theories” perpetuate for a reason.

Lack of trust.

I did no have sex with that woman...

Johnson sending more troops to Vietnam to save his Presidency as told in Robert McNamara’s book before his death...

Etc..

And a retread is a tire.

Your gracious and profound reply is what it is.

You don’t need to call my honest opinion b.s. I could easily call yours that also, but prefer to allow you the right to express yourself freely.

I think this is the reason many good people don’t go into politics. It’s dirty, it’s nasty, and people do whatever they can to destroy you and your reputation.

I totally agree.

She might not be a Truther, but she’s too stupid to be Governor.

Nobody but Medina herself is responsible for her words and actions. She opted to accept Becks invitation...her choice..and she alone is resposible for her answers...she was not set up as has been explained...

Politics is no different than those climbing the executive ladder...you need to know the players and who holds the power...Medina was unprepared and responsible for this...the question was not a surprise...she knew this would surface, and if not then she proves herself unfit for this office because you better be prepared.

Many tried to tell her she was not experienced...she didn’t listen and now reaps what she has sowed.

There are some questions that can be answered quickly and decisively. For example:

1. Do you believe it is possible that Elvis Presley and John F. Kennedy are secretly being kept alive at an alien moon base?, and
2. Do you believe the United States government was involved in bringing down the World Trade Center towers?

Medina is very green and her interview with Beck demonstrated that to the nation.

Then, the next day, “On Friday, she told reporters she is curious why no New York City police officers died in the towers when so many firefighters did.”

Note to self:

Our honest government and fair and balanced media stars have more morals and values and credibility, love for their country, and concern for their fellow man than a tea party nurse that wants to make a difference by bringing new ideas to her state.

Hers aren't new ideas. Ron Paul and his acolytes have been spouting that stuff for years.

Or you could believe that the Republican President and his administration and the American GIs that have died by the thousands and the American law enforcement community that suffered it's worst losses in history on 9/11 all did it just to murder Americans for transient political gain in service of an evil genius, GOP President from Texas.

Of course some stupid nurse could be a monstrous bitch that has zero respect for her fellow Americans and the United States military and her own former Governor and president, George Bush.
