I was asked a question on the Glenn Beck show today regarding my thoughts on the so-called 9/11 truth movement.
I have never been involved with the 9/11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11.
I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way.
No one can deny that the events on 9/11 were a tragedy for all Americans and especially those families who lost loved ones.
The question surprised me because it's not relevant to this race or the issues facing Texans. This campaign has always been about private property rights and state sovereignty.
It is focused on the issues facing Texans. It is not a vehicle for the 9-11 truth movement or any other group.
The real underlying question here, though, is whether or not people have the right to question our government. I think the fact that people are even asking questions on this level gets to the incredible distrust career politicians have fostered by so clearly taking their direction from special interests instead of the people, whether it's Rick Perry and his HPV mandate or Kay Hutchison and voting for the bank bailout.
It is absolutely the right and duty of a free people to question their government.
Texas does not need another politician who tells you what you want to hear, then violates your liberties and steals your property anyway.
I fully expect to be questioned and to be held accountable as Governor, and that's the underlying issue here: should people be questioning their government. And the answer is yes, they should be.
You're right. And, so has Rand Paul. Yet there are still some Freepers who love Rand wholeheartedly. Boggles the mind.
When I was in ROTC we used to pull a prank on the freshmen cadets. We would rapidly ask “Are you a Communist, or ever been part of any organization that advocates the violent overthrow of the US government?!”
The startled cadet would hesitate momentarily and then stammers “Er..Sir, no, sir!”
I would state to my fellow senior cadets “He is a Communist! You see he hesitated!”
The point of the exercise is if you believe in something, you should already have an immediate answer to the question.

Honestly, as a person who is still open-minded about this
response of hers on Glenn’s interview, if she has
contradicted herself on the Jones show, I will be throwing
tomatoes at her tomorrow when I meet her in person.
Yeah, she was busted, there are some revelations that you cannot back away from once we see them.
No, the issue is not whether our government can do evil, it is whether it can do massive, public, concentrated SECRET evil on it own population and then successfully cover it up for a decade. This is a notion so absurd as to qualify as insane.

It doesn’t matter who she said it to, we heard it and that is what matters.
To me Medina is taking on the role of a sheepdog. We sheep should be thankful for her courage and honesty. And boy, are the wolves out today.

To me she is a fool that thinks that sheepdogs murder Americans by the thousands and run a secret war against America for whomever is the President and did I already call her a stupid bitch that deserves our scorn?
You are a sheep, but we sheepdogs will never support someone that thinks we are monsters and think as little of us as she does.

This woman doesn't deserve anyone's wrath or name-calling. God bless her and protect her from the viral hate that our media liberally promotes in order to elevate its own interests.
That whack case said what she said, it doesn’t matter who she said it too, she wanted to be the Governor of Texas, what an idiot the silly chick is.
That’s bs and you know it. Medina is not qualified in any sense of the word to be Gov of TX or Gov of any state. She is not a leader and has demonstrated she believes she is entitled to the highest office our state has without earning it.
I think this is the reason many good people don’t go into politics. It’s dirty, it’s nasty, and people do whatever they can to destroy you and your reputation.

She tried to have it both ways. A common ploy of politicians. Trouble is, she’s not that good a politician and it bit her in the butt.
She thought she could worm her way through an answer that would be acceptable to both sides in the matter.
