HOUSTON Republican gubernatorial candidate Debra Medina, reeling from her remarks that questioned whether the U.S. government was involved in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, on Friday blamed the ensuing firestorm on a coordinated attack that she speculated came from the campaigns of her better-known GOP rivals.

You know the worst part about this whole thing is people having to tell humblegunner he was right.
That HAS to suck.
Medina, hailing from Beeville, learned political skills on the range

She was "very smart, determined and hard-headed," says her mother. "When she sets her mind to something, she pretty well makes the decision and sticks with it."
By hard-headed, her mother meant her daughter's leaving home, which was tied up with her relationship with Noe Medina, whom she began dating in 1980 after meeting him at work at a grocery store.
Noe Medina was "one of the finest students I've taught," Belew said. "He was an excellent student, and a very nice kid and top of the class."
But he was Mexican-American; her parents forbade the relationship; she left home. (At the time, said Belew, A.C. Jones High School still had separate proms for Hispanics and whites.)
Two weeks after she graduated from Bee County Community College in 1982, she and Medina married, and she has basically been estranged from her parents since, she said.
"It is purely racial," Debra Medina said. "At the age of 18, as difficult as it was, I didn't know then that 30 years later they would maintain that position. When push comes to shove, I always hope to choose the principle, and even when my parents said no, I knew they were wrong."
Her mother, who said she heard her daughter was running for governor through a radio host in Beeville, has spoken with Medina about the race; Medina doesn't speak with her father.
End snips
Check her husbands past associations for some eye opening.
Could you give hint as to links wo we won’t have to go hunt around for your info? I did a quick google but don’t see anything for the Noe Medina.
He and have known each other for close to a decade and I almost had to do that once before.
Or not.
Wow. Thats interesting.
So what was her excuse for doing it again two hours later?
She’ll find someone to blame. The woman apparently lacks skills to lead at the top levels.
LOL
That actually shows some principles on Medina’s part.
“If I remember right, the Republican good-old-boys-club in Alaska did very similar stuff to Sarah.”
Doesn’t seem like a accurate comparison. This woman seems to have some kooky beliefs.
Oh, well.. that explains it.
Just a random theme that came up by accident.
It could happen.
I think it’s pretty clear that she torpedoed herself.
or did Perry use the mind control machine to make her say this things?
That actually shows some principles on Medinas part.
Or lack of respect to the family. I have no qualms with her leaving home and going it own her on. However she displayed the me syndrome again when she failed to personally let the parents know she was running for governor, imo.
I understand she had no contact with her dad but apparently she did have at least some comtact with her mom. It would have been much more respectful to the parents if she had a contacted mom and told her that she was going to run for governor. When I do you and dad may expect to get calls or inquires about me from the media so be forewarned.
JMO.
I am guessing we had very different childhoods you and I.
I went to a couple of the public meetings for people to speak their minds about Perrys Trans Texas Corridor. People were PISSED. Some saying they would stop it/him “by any means necessary”. I paid close attention to the indifference on Perrys TEXDOT cronies. It was pretty wicked. Perry kept his cowardly face out of the action and let his cronies do his dirty work. And then he tried to mandate HPV vaccinations. To me, that is evil. He really showed his cards there. Too bad Palin is in his corner, but then she is talking up Mclame too.
Just like a good Paulbot, Medina has to find someone else to blame for her blunders that exposed the looniness many of us already knew was there.
Maybe Karl Rove was generous and lent it to Perry?
Dick Cheney is now operating Rove's machine.(Rove is chilling in Kerrville.) Cheney discovered that a right-click opens up a whole new options menu and he has been experimenting on the hapless Medina. Out of sheer spite.
