WHNT NEWS 19 Staff Reports 4:37 PM CST, February 12, 2010
HUNTSVILLE, AL - There are reports of a shooting at UAHuntsville, at the Shelby Center. We understand the campus is in lockdown.
Sources close to the investigation tell WHNT NEWS 19 two people were killed and two are in critical condition. We understand two people are in custody, possibly a woman and her husband. They're not sure if there are other suspects out there. We've also been told all the victims are faculty.
I did see Breitbart on Beck today and am very excited about what he has planned.
Update on timeline from the [very quick] presser: shooting at 4pm... police arriving at 4:01 (??). I’m also now hearing “only” 3 victims at the hospital.
Thanks for posting the pic...she does look crazed.
Thanks for the update. Shotting at 4 pm and police arrive at 4:01 pm? Huh? Quick!
Premeditated. First degree murder.
shooting
Damn right!
Yeah, I caught that, too... For now I’ll give that up to the craziness of the situation.
Another good reason to abolish tenure - as if we needed another reason.
A long time ago, when I was a unionized, hourly worker at
a very large defense contractor, the first thing we read
in the company paper was the obits, to see where an upgrade
would be available. Same thing in the Navel Air Reserve.
Students should be raising holy hell about being allowed to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights on campus...
According to police, three people were killed and three were wounded when the shooter opened fire during a biology faculty meeting on the third floor of the Shelby Center for Science and Technology. The three injured people are being treated at Huntsville Hospital.
In June 2006, The Times published a story involving Bishop, biology professor and her husband, Jim Anderson, chief science officer of Cherokee Labsystems in Huntsville.
Bishop is quoted in the story as co-inventor of “InQ,” a new cell growth incubator which promised to cut the costs, size and maintenance involved in the mechanics of cell generation.

She reminds me of David Hasselhoff staring down a perp on ‘Knight Rider’...
She was upset by something I guess
Some info on here...very hard to access the U of A website, but I found this info:
BISHOP, AMY, B.S. (Northeastern University), Ph.D. (Harvard University). Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences. 2003.* Research Interests: Neurobiology, mechanism of resistance to oxidative damage in the CNS, ALS and Alzheimers.
WHNT 19 News, a local TV station, reported that all victims were on the school’s faculty. The shooting happened during a meeting related to the biology department, the station reported.
In an interview with WHNT 19 News, Burr Ingram, Huntsville Hospital’s director of marketing, said the emergency room was treating two men and a woman. Two were in critical condition and the third was stable condition, he said.
