Parents, get ahold of your kids (Gun Control & Seattle Transit Beating)
Seattle Times ^ | February 12, 2010 | Nicole Brodeur

We're back in downtown Seattle, again wondering how it's turned into a playground for roving bands of marauders.

The videotape of the beating of a 15-year-old girl in the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel released this week has set heads shaking throughout the city, and made unwelcome national news.

Just like the attack two weeks ago that left a Metro bus driver unconscious, and a 14-year-old boy charged with assault.

~snip

Police have suggested that teenage beat-downs are common. And they seem to be business as usual for the girls' parents, who told police that their daughters had been fighting for months — mostly about boys, but also about one girl acting "white." So there's a racial element here that I think needs to be acknowledged.

This reporter, Nicole Brodeur, an anti-gun crusader, proves yet again the hypocrisy of the left. See her op-ed piece entitled - What part of `guns kill people' don't we understand? - here: http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/archive/?date=20000820&slug=4037872

Let's use the twisted logic that the leftists always use when they scream for gun control. Whenever one person uses a gun to harm another person, the leftists want all guns banned. So if marauding teenagers are using the Seattle transit system to harm others, shouldn't use of the transit system be banned for everyone?

I live very close to Seattle...and the liberals have convinced me to never use public transportation because they don't care about the safety of their customers. Good going you batch of socialist fascists.

BTW, the local response from the politicians..."we'll look into the policies and see if anything needs to be revised". Oh, good...too bad you can't see this as a sign that something is obviously wrong. Idiots!

Yet another simple solution overlooked...Lock the guilty scum up for some hard time
and quit coddling the future criminals. Solitary confinement with two meals a day
is very cost effective. A small 4x8 cell with NO outside contact.

Let’s start a campaign to shut down the transit system just so we can have the satisfaction of hearing the leftists say,
“The transit system doesn’t kill people, people kill people.”

“...about one girl acting “white.””
In other words, she spoke clearly without cursing, did not agree with gangbanger mentality, and did well in school.

Several years ago, SPD under orders of the chief(Gilaclowny),stood by and did nothing while some black thugs beat a young man to death.

Several years ago, SPD shot and killed a black criminal just after he had brokem into a house and slaughtered a black family. The cops were excoriated by the “black community leaders” for racism.

Seattle is the reason neutron bombs were invented. Beautiful city full of scumbags.

I took the Seattle #39 bus to the VA hospital the other day and felt perfectly safe...

With my .45 Commander concealed under my shirt.

Washington is a “Shall Issue” concealed carry permit state.

Was the black girl who was beaten up at the mall with a white girlfriend? Was that what made the animals attack her for “acting white?”

No, according to the stories she was with a black friend. Who knows what traits she displayed for this gang to attack her for “acting white”.

See post #6 by FReeper ‘Scotsman will be Free’ and I would maybe add to that “Appeared to grow up to become a taxpayer instead of a tax waster.”

Given the rampant liberalism in Western WA it'd be safe to speculate that you are in a very distinct minority of armed citizens on public transportation. I heard a bus driver interviewed on a local radio talk show (David Boze as I recall) back when bus drivers were being assaulted and there are routes that have a high incidence of violence and they don't have the authority to get involved...unless the policies have been changed.

Yes it is. And while I lived there, I never went anywhere unarmed. Too easy to come to harm in a blue zone. If you're unarmed.

She likely refused to have several out of wedlock babies by age 19 or go on the public dole and attempted to use education as a tool of success. She was uppity. Word.

Two questions:

1. Is it legal to carry on a public transit vehicle?

2. What did you do with your 45 when you arrived at the VA hospital?

I find that many places do not allow for nor do they provide security for CCW weapons if you disarm...

Basically means I don’t go there, at least conscious and under my own conveyance.

That’s why they call it concealed—right?

What's your point?

My question is:

A. Is it legal to tote a CCW on that city/states public transport?

B. What did the gent do with his 45 when he visited the VA hospital? If he simply went in and got a script filled or something , he carried it I supposed (federal building and all). If he had an appointment (you know, disrobe, get probed, x-rayed, etc) WHERE did he stow it?

Best

Just asking. I always am on the lookout for novel and legal means of carrying....
