Shortly after 10pm on Thursday night, WPRO-AM in Rhode Island reported that talk show host Dan Yorke has learned that Patrick Kennedy will not seek reelection for Congress. There has been rumor to this effect and this initial report, although without any other details, is big news in Rhode Island.
Democrat Patrick Kennedy, 42, currently serves in the United States House of Representatives, representing the 1st congressional district of Rhode Island. He assumed office January 3, 1995. Kennedy is a son of late U.S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy from Massachusetts.
A February 2010 poll commissioned by WPRI TV 12 in Providence indicated Kennedy's support was weak entering his expected re-election campaign. The poll indicated that 56% of 1st District voters viewed him unfavorably and only 35% said they would vote to re-elect Kennedy.

Oh, happy day!
We’re lucky he spent more time in rehab than in congress.
Sure hope this is TRUE!!!!!
The democrats are going to pay for their overwhelming evil and corruption. Patrick could not be elected dogcatcher.
The Independents and Republicans are beyond livid at Obama/Reid/Pelosi. No amount of State Run Media whitewash is going to protect these vermin. It is going to be a complete bloodbath on election day as the long suffering American People clean house.
The Kennedy family may be out of politics for good with this announcement.
Whatever magic was associated with Camelot is gone.
buh-bye
Can it be true? No Kennedys befouling our capital city, for the first time in sixty-odd years? Thank God the dim bulb Caroline was run off before getting her hooks in.

Camelot: a LITTLE hitch....
I HOPE for more of this kind of CHANGE.
“The Kennedy family may be out of politics for good with this announcement.”
I’ll drink to that!/s;)
He should have listened to BO and turned off PMSNBC. If I was a ‘RAT, I’d abandon ship now too.
Mmm, another one bites the dust.
Why couldn't election day be tomorrow?

Goodbye Camelot..!
