Bin Laden's Son Warns Successors Will Be Worse
Brian Ross/ABC ^ | Feb. 11, 2010 | LARA SETRAKIAN

Omar bin Laden's says the worst may lie ahead, that if his father is killed America may face a broader and more violent enemy, with nothing to keep them in check.

"From what I knew of my father and the people around him I believe he is the most kind among them, because some are much, much worse," Omar bin Laden, who was raised in the midst of his father's fighters, told ABC News in an exclusive interview. "Their mentality wants to make more violence, to create more problems."

Not wanting to add to OBL's iconic status, I still post this to highlight some important issues.

Omar is generally right, OBL's successors will be more capable and vicious and unrestrained.

OBL is alive and in Pakistan. Here is a link to the latest on OBL's family:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/26740532/Osama-Bin-Laden-Wives-and-Offspring-021010

OBL and his jihadists should be looked at in a broader, more accurate way. They are Muslim supremists, that some have become jihadists, and that some have become terrorists/fighters. Muslim supremacy is the core cultural and societal problem and that is what breeds all of this conflict.

I don't think we will "catch" OBL, but hopefully will be able to identify his remains.

It is the demonic spirituality at the center of it which calls for conversion by the sword. This is something that is seen in virtually no other religion practiced in the world. It will bully itself into larger and larger territory until and unless something else rises up to stop it.

The more visible they are, the easier they are to find and kill. We’ve knocked-off about three slated successsors to OBL — we’ll knock-off the actual successor.

Bin Laden is hard to find because he’s quiet. His successor will need to be louder to win respect ... at which point we’ll double-tap him and move to the next guy.

I agree with Omar. The more mad-dog vicious his successors become, the faster they will disappear. You can't grind on that kind of hatred and not make mistakes. I must say, however, we Americans seem to be the only ones concerned about what may come or has come. Everyone else in the world thinks we're the bad guys while they blithely lose all national identity and freedoms. I really am flummoxed to understand how this has occurred, but I haven't been making foreign policy, either.

BS. Are they gong to hide even better than Osama? The only way they will be worse is because of Barry Obama.

We flatten The Taliban, and Osama “escapes”...
We hear that he is in Pakistan. Flatten Pakistan, Osama “escapes”...
We hear that he is in Iraq. Flatten Iraq, Osama “escapes”...
We hear he is in Libya. Flatten Libya, Osama “escapes”...

He becomes the “Flying Dutchman” of the Muslim world, where ever he is sighted, disaster follows.

It won’t be too long before NOBODY wants him in their back yard.

Also we can have “reliable reports” from “secret sources” that he has been spotted anywhere we want him to have been spotted...

Well, there we have it; and from an inside source too:
We have to kill them all.

From what I knew of my father

Past tense? Interesting.

Flatten Pakistan

What the heck does this rhetoric mean?

Pakistan has 175M people, nuclear weaponry, and an area twice that of California.

How do you propose we go about "flattening" it?

Not to mention that if we really knew where he was, he'd be dead in about 1/2 hour.

Do you propose attacking random sovereign nations on the same level of intelligence information that informed us about Iraq's WMDs?

That is the only thing that will ever stop this insanity.
Problem is they decided that about us a long time ago and are actively working on it, and at this moment are winning.

Because we have idiots running things that think they can take a bowl of milk in the lions cage saying..”here kitty kitty kitty.”. and make everything just hunky dory fine.

We have to kill them all.

Fine with me, depending on your definition.

Who is "them?"

We have to kill them all.

There is an unarguably beautiful clarity to that observation.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

Good point. There are a lot of past tenses, in the book too. Could be a manner of speech, as Omar is not a favored son anymore.

Yemen's AQAP also is warning about dire consequences of a drone hit on OBL. Hmmm, they know OBL's location, perhaps in a drone area?

To all the "Bin Laden's Dead" believers: if he were, we would know, his last wife would surface, and Zawahiri and his Egyptians would claim leadership. The presence of doubt is reasonable confirmation that OBL is alive.
