Where in the relatively recent poll - by America's most accurate pollster - that showed a staistical tie between Palin and Obama was this crucifix of which you speak? I would suggest you offer a critical analysis of the real numbers I posted instead of just surrendering the intellectual argument in favor of insults.
Palin is more like Reagan than you know. Besides the issue agreements, many of us who loved Reagan from the start are re-living the same arguments with the same kinds of folks one generation later. This is deja vu’ to many of us. We hoisted Reagan to the helm against the wishes of folks like yourself, and we'll hoist Palin or whomever carries the Conservative banner best in 2012. We ousted Carter with Watergate in mind and an aged actor/cowboy from thwe fringe as our candidate; we'll oust Obama with the Tea Party supporter from Alaska.
Until you have a better candidate to offer, you're just lambasting a good Conservative and her supporters without cause or purpose. Either bring a better option to the table and state your case, or stop griping about the fact that other Freepers have a pony to back.
