Maybe the next time people will take a closer look before jumping on board someone new running because they came from the Tea Party movement.
Has no one given consideration that the Democrats are prime to start running as Republicans coming from the Tea Party movement but using it as a cover? Get elected and switch to Dem or vote with the Dems. Rahm Emanual and Axelrod will do anything to keep control.
If you have extra money to donate be very careful what group you give. If they were not fighting the Democrats in 2008, you probably should not give. A lot of groups are trying to use the Tea Party name to get donations.
My advice is to give direct to candidates who know how they need to spend the money. If a PAC has a lot of expenses and gives little to or uses on behalf of candidates, avoid that PAC as you are wasting your money.

Yeah... And even though the Tea Party movement has very good ideas and I support them, they do "also" seem to attract a few whackos in the mix, too.
And so, one has to be a bit careful there... :-)
That's a very good point PKmom! Watch who these new candidates go after and who they criticize. There's a lot of Freepers who pop up every now and then who never seem to have a bad thing to say about democrats but will tear apart the GOP at the drop of a hat. You really have to wonder who's side they are on.
Look at how many *Republicans* showed up just in time to ride Reagan's coattails in 1980 -- Arlen Specter, one example. I've lost count of the number of Republicans in Congress who would/should be Democrats, but there is too much competition on that side of the election, the only way they can win the seat is by claiming GOP ... and then see what they do, how they vote, the legislation they sponsor, etc.
Excellent observation, PKM, I hope many are keeping their eyes and ears open.
